This opulent display of cuddly fauna reminds me that I wanted to tell you about the time we went into a Steiff store in Nürnberg and coo-ed over all the cuddly things, wondering whether we should buy something for my nephew, and Hanna and Martin analytically discussed the physical relation between a baby and a stuffed crocodile. It was very amusing. (Although I still think Steiff toys aren't cuddly enough. Quality, schmality!)
I like the dalmatian, for some reason. It looks so anguished and athletic at the same time...
Btw, groan @ "multi-porpoise". ;) Reminds me of a game on Whose Line (surprise!) where Paul Merton had to mention a fish in every sentence and started off by saying "Oh my cod!"
lurker here, why does the poor dog look like it got caught trying to poop somewhere he wasn't supposed to?
the icon- i was one of a handful of students that help set up this exhibit, back in the early 90's when it was at the Corcoran in Washington, DC. completely forgot about that until i saw the icon.
I think the dog's guilty look is probably something to do with the fact that he really is in a toilet, albeit one intended for human beings and therefore unequipped with pooper-scoopers.
Kudos for your Antony Gormley involvement, I must say!
