Sasori wiped his forehead, and sighed. He was busy with a little puppet. He was working on that piece for almost a week now. It can move it's hands, and feet now, but it's face was still blank

Ayumi watched out of the corner of her eye as the red haired boy worked carefully on his puppet. Working the structure, fixing the joints, testing the movements to make sure everything was perfect. She smiled out of envy and joy for the boy. Turning back to her corner of the art room, she started the pottery wheel once again, slowly shaping the clay, giving it shape, working her magic upon the lump of mud.
Sasori never noticed the teacher, he was too busy with his own art. It always happened, once he really started to work the world just... disappeared, and nothing else mattered just the new artpiece. It was the best feeling ever. Suddenly his hands started to tremble, and he accidentally dropped the puppet on the table. He blinked confused, and finally looked around. "Sensei...?" his throat was dry, and his voice was weak.
Humming softly to herself under her breath, Ayumi let the breeze coming through a nearby window play with her hair, while she immersed herself deeper and deeper into her world of art. Nothing around her mattered. She loved this feeling and a smile surfaced on her face.
Hearing her name, she came out of her 'trance'-like state and looked towards the direction of the word. Seeing Sasori-kun, she smiled her usual sweet smile and nodded towards the boy. "Hai, Sasori-kun." Then she noticed the dropped puppet he had let go of. His face was a mask of surprise and confusion. Stopping the wheel and letting her hands fall to her apron where she wiped them, more out of habit then to clean them, Ayumi turned towards the boy.
Sasori blinked a few times, so his sight was finally clear. "I didn't notice you..." he muttered, swallowing. He felt like as if he woke up after a deep sleep. He took a deep breath and turned his gaze back to the puppet squeezing his trembling hands together.
There came a knock at the door. Waiting for a moment, Hanatarou realized that there would be no response. Worried, he turned the doorknob, to find Sasori and Ayumi, while Sasori looked as if he were about to collapse.
"Eep! Sasori-san, are you alright?" the flower boy asked, concerned.
Sasori startled a little, looking toward the boy. "Why is everyone... here...?!" he asked a bit grumpy. He rubbed his forehead, trying to stop his starting headache.
Er, it's only me and Yamada-sensei," Hanatarou said, a bit worriedly. "You shouldn't focus too much on the thing you're working on, Sasori-san. It'll cause migrains." Posted on Feb. 6th, 2007 04:59
