I absolutely believe you are optimistic. I am terminally optimistic myself, but it is something born of a familiarity with great sadness. Optimism doesn't mean always seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It just means operating as if you did.

Do you like Kurt Vonnegut?

And I think normal is highly overrated. :)

I suppose I asked because I consider him an "optimistic cynic", like myself. And perhaps like you. I can't make that call, but I think that Vonnegut tends to appeal to that type of person.

The man was a genius as a writer and came up with amazing stories. And I suppose I'd have t agree with that assessment. :)
