Romance Novels and Zombies

About a week and a half ago, I got a wonderful, perfect idea. It was a solution to QoS, which ended somewhat BLAH. So I wrote it down, and set it aside. But it wouldn't stay. So I wrote a bit, which was a mistake because now, 10 days later, I'm 122 pages in and sinking fast

lol We're eerily similar. I swore I'd never write romance either. I was determined to write straight-up science fiction, but my male MC kept wanting to hook up with this hot assassin chick. I got mad at the story, threw it out (or rather, I closed the doc file), and wrote a new book.

It had romance, too.

Then, I started realizing romances were creeping into my TBR stack and *gasp* I actually enjoyed them.

I've given up trying keep romances out of my books. And, hey, it's the highest selling genre out there. I say, stop resisting!
