Is that red, white and blue suit Rhoadey's War machine suit? Is he competing with Captain America? :)

Well, in the comics, if I remember correctly, the Iron Patriot armor was in fact built to honor the memory of a recently deceased Cap, so maybe that will play into this--not the dead part so much as the honoring part. :) I for one really hope it's not Rhodey in it, though, as one of the characters listed as being in the film on imdb is Coldblood, and if the movie somehow molded that "guy" just right he could work within the suit. I dunno. i'm more excited about any and all Extremis carryover, as I've always thought that neural link Tony has with the suits is pretty cool/angsty. (I would love maybe a little shoutout to Cap and the other Avengers in the movie. Hopefully the post-credits will have someone show up!)

Sorry to go all fangirly on ya! ;)

Yeah, I'm all for the hurt/comfort, but Tony's comfort doesn't ever seem to be shown onscreen. All we get is the hurt. :( Poor guy. Kingsley as the Mandarin looks pretty fucking sweet though!

I hear ya on the overabundance of plot! Lots of new fucking characters in this one, it looks like. I tend to think they're trying to keep up the momentum from Avengers, though. That movie upped the standard for the genre and especially the franchise. Shifting focus and all those story threads, etc. They kind of made it more difficult for themselves.

I did like that they mentioned the PTSD...

Yeah, while the alcoholism has been heavily hinted at, the aftereffects of all that trauma I feel often get the shaft. In all three films so far, Tony's either nearly died or, arguably (in Avengers), out-and-out died--not to mention waterboarding (or whatever form of torture was going on in that cave) and palladium poisoning.

I'm glad Rhodey's in there but sad Banner's out of the picture already. I know the carry-over from each separate Avenger's sequel to the next will be light, but--science!bros. :(
