Clouds Up - Eleven (11/15)

I have to say, this section was one of the most exciting ones for me to write in this story.

He wondered what Lionel had been afraid of. He wondered if it'd been of him. )

XD I love the thought of Lionel being afraid of Lucas (well and Lin but still). I hope the thing with Rachel goes well. She was kind of scary on the show. >.>

Glad to see that this is on-going and so quickly!

I don't know if Lionel was exactly afraid of Lucas back then, or just uneasy about what he might become -- Frankenstein's monster, and all that.

Ah, I've been holding back on Rachel for several chapters now! And, yeah, she's pretty fucking scary here, too! LOL Mama Bear won't put up with anyone's shit! Good thing ol' Lionel's down for the dirt nap or else Rachel'd probably make him answer for what he'd done to her boy. Wait, did I say 'good thing?' I meant 'Too Damn Bad!' XD

We're racing towards the finish line! I just posted the next section. . . a whole 24 hours after putting up this one. Whew! *wipes sweat from brow*

Lucas seems like he's taking steps forward and taking steps...sideways, not backwards. It's like he's trying to see everything at once. It's got to be horribly lonely for him right now. I like that he is coming to know that he's not bad. He really wasn't sure in the beginning and it could have been easy for him to go that way. The more he knows about himself, the better, I think.

Man, can I just steal what you wrote up there? *points* You are spot-on, hon! Lucas is the kind to circle the truth -- of everything -- and never just dive in. Always likes to be prepared, that one! :)

The more he knows about himself, the better, I think.

Hear, hear! And that's what he's really starting to do here: ask questions, test boundaries. In other words, he's growing up! XD

You're so lovey, lovey! LOL Bless you for reading and saying such nice things! (And the countdown begins. . . *wink*)

'You say you're bad if you do bad? Are you not then, by that same logic, good if you do good?'

Oh, Diana, bless your wisdom! It was so wonderful to see Lucas take that leap! And then of course he thumps back to earth with the arrival of Rachel. I can sympathise with Lex's POV but hope Lucas gets something positive out of the time he does have together with his mom.
