i asked the hoptoad to meet me after work at mission pie, and we had a nice little mini-date. i had the shaker lemon pie and hot chocolate, he had the raspberry pear tart and a mocha, and we got whipped cream on everything (of course). everything was super duper yummy...i think that hot chocolate was maybe the best i've ever had.

but i also want to meet up for pie in march, so yep, please do keep posted.

ok, i'm letting everyone know that i'll send out reminders as that weekend rolls around. i hope you can make it.

To clarify, I can't make solid social plans more than a week or two in advance because I can't predict more than that far out whether or not I'm liable to be in an able-to-be-around-people headspace. This is actually something I have only recently learned and not something I have any desire or intention to unlearn or learn to do differently. It's the best solution for me and saves me a lot of pointless regret.

I do hope I'll be able to make it too. In theory, any of those days will work for me. In practice, I might be a hermit that weekend.

no worries. i was just being a smart-ass, thinking about the "depriving parents of a social life" feature that seems to be embedded into all kids. sometimes that feature causes me to plan in advance. :)

but i definitely feel you on the hermitting thing...i'm already working out in my head which invites i'm going to accept/reject this weekend, based primarily on crowd size. that's why i'm staying home tonight.

it'll probably be one of those days. friday evenings don't seem as pie-friendly for some unknown reason. :)
