Some Monday fannish randomness

It was a busy weekend for me with the mundane stuff more than the fannish stuff. Getting enough groceries through Friday (when I leave for Balticon), watching Secret of Kells, Weight Watchers and watching House of Five Leaves.

I agree, the Secret of Kells is a wonderful movie. But the official US release date was in 2009; therefore it will probably not be eligible for the Hugos next year. I nominated it this year, but given the limited release, I don't think many other people did.

I don't know about that. I think the US release was only one week for Los Angeles and New York for Oscar Consideration. It may be a better question for Kevin Standlee to answer instead of me.

There was an article about it in the New York Times a few weeks ago. Want to see it, but hate going to movie theaters since there's always that idiot talking or brat screaming. It will be on the Netflix cue.

If you get a chance go to Ireland and see the actual Book of Kells. It's a great country with lots of attractions.
