Yup.  It lends itself to the rugged, which I can dig on.  Also:  go watch Gabriel Macht in American Outlaws and then watch him in Suits.  He looks like two completely different people, and frankly, I think he looks a whole lot more approachable and readable as Frank James (with well managed full beard) than he does with the clearly glacial features
