Prologue

Chapter 1 - The Meeting

Yoochun was having a wonderful dream where he was surrounded by beautiful women all clamouring for his attention when it was shattered by a shrill ringing coming from somewhere to the right of his ears.

He sleepily opened one of his eyes to peek at the world of the living. It was the stupid alarm clock besides his bed, which took him away from his fantasies.

“Damn, what the heck? Sheesh, it's only 8am.” Grumbled Yoochun. Suddenly a thought came to him and he shot up from his bed.

“Shoot, I’m supposed to go to school today. Damn, double damn.” Yoochun was cussing and swearing as he remembered the events leading up to this.

Flashback

“Ok, these are the keys for the apartment. We got you an apartment close to the school and also close to where Kim Jaejoong is staying.” My boss, the jerk that got me into this mess said as he passed me the necessary stuff for my undercover work.

“So you know where he is staying already?"

“No, not really, Interpol would only give us the area of where he is staying but not the exact place, that will have to depend on your detective skills.” he smirked.

Damn, I knew this case was going to drive me crazy sooner or later. All the missing information already had me wanting to tear out my beautiful hair. It's not a good sign. Sigh.

“Oh, before I forget, the schedule for your classes is on the study table in your room. I think that’s all for now. If you have any problems, you can always call, but try not to abuse it.”

That’s like saying don’t call me, I will call you. Shit.

So here I am on an early Monday morning, getting ready to go back to school for the second time. I took a look at my schedule for today. I’ve got classes at 9am till 3pm in the afternoon. Big sigh. Why did I become a policeman? Definitely not to go back to school again. Ok, I having Monday blues, who doesn’t? After a few more minutes of prep talk to myself about the mission, I’m ready to get to work.

There's only one word to describe him now. LOST, utterly lost. The campus was huge, he had been wandering along the corridors for like the past 15 minutes and he still have no idea where he was exactly. He was lost among the endless corridors, looking for the room where he was supposed to have his class. And how the hell is he going to find Kim Jaejoong in a place like this when he can’t even find his own class in the first place. This assignment was turning out to be more difficult than he thought. He prayed for some help.

He was looking left and right trying to catch someone, anyone who could help him. Finally, he saw someone who seems to know what he is doing. A dark haired boy, slight of built, in a pair of black jeans, which seem to be moulded to his thighs, showing off his fine ass and a red t-shirt under a green jacket. He was talking animatedly to another guy, gesturing with his hands to get his point across at times.

“Excuse me, do you know how to get to this place? My class is starting soon and I have no idea how to get to it.” I tapped the guy on the shoulder.

“Sorry, were you talking to me?” He turned back to smile at me.

I was dazzled by his smile and forgot what I was going to ask him. I can’t remember anybody having that kind of effect on me before, not any girls that I know of and most definitely not a guy that I’ve just met for the first time. This was a big surprise to me as I always thought of myself as a healthy heterosexual male, never thought I will swing the other way. Or maybe it’s just him?

He was not exceptionally beautiful, nor handsome but something in his features just seem to grab at me. Maybe it’s those eyes of his, which seems to be looking straight into my soul. His smile hints at a sunny disposition. I must have been staring blankly at him for a while.

“Hello? Hello?” he waved a hand in front of my face while I was staring at him trying to get my brain to function again. I finally got my wits back and repeated my question.

“Ok, let me take a look. Oh, you are taking the same class as me. Why don’t you follow me?” He said as he started walking down the corridor.

Looking at him, I was thinking, I will follow you anywhere as long as you smiled that smile at me again.

“So, what’s your name? My name is Kim Junsu; I’m a second year student majoring in psychology. What about you?”

“Erm… My name is Park Yoochun, or Micky, I’m also a second year student majoring in psychology.” Thank God, at least something good came out of this dreadful mission.

“Why haven’t I seen you around?” he cocked his head and asked, trying to place me.

“Err… I tend to keep a low profile, maybe that’s why you never noticed me.”

“Ha ha… Micky, don’t underestimate yourself. You do know you’re quite striking and I don’t think I will miss seeing someone like you in the class.”

I loved his laugh. It sounds so happy and sincere just like him. What does he means by that? Is he hitting on me? Please be it.

“No, I’m not hitting on you.” Damn, my hopes were dashed in that moment.

“How did you know what I was thinking about?”

“Ha ha, the expression on your face gave you away.” He laughed again.

“Am I that easy to read?” I hope not, praying that he hasn’t seen anything else on my face.

“Maybe.” He answered giving me a mysterious smile.

“You don’t think you are attractive, well, you should open your ears more, didn’t you hear the whisperings among the girls since we started walking.” He leaned close to whisper to me, making my heart beat faster.

I must have been too engrossed in him that I had not taken noticed of my surroundings. I didn’t really see where we were going. Now that he mentioned it, I noticed that there were quite a number of people thronging the corridor and sure enough a number of the girls were whispering and giggling as we walked past them. But were they talking about him or me? I must have faltered in my steps as I thought about that as the next thing I knew was that he had grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him.

“Come on, I don’t think you want to miss your class today. So who do you usually hang around with? Maybe I’ll know some of them?”

“Err… like I said before, I’m pretty much a loner.”

“Ok. Here we are. Let’s get a seat.” He said as we finally stopped at the doorway of a room filled with students.

“Junsu hyung, we saved a seat for you.” A tall guy sitting at the back shouted, waving his hands at us.

“Come on, let’s go, let me introduce some of my friends to you.”

We squeezed through the crowd of people standing in the room to get to the guy at the back.

“Changmin, this is Micky, he’s also a second year psychology major, I met him along the corridor wandering around.”

“Hyung, you should stop that habit of picking up stray and lost animals. You can’t save them all.” Changmin said in a straight face. Junsu just laughed at his words. I was not very amused.

"Micky, this is Changmin, as you can see, he's like a naughty little brother I never have." Changmin grinned a mischievous smile at Junsu.

“Junsu”, another voice called out his name.

He turned to the voice, I followed the direction he was looking at and my eyes widened.

“Kim Jaejoong.” I said under my breath.

“What did you say?” Junsu asked.

“Nothing.”

“Come, let me introduce another two friends to you.” He said as he walked to the guy who called him.

“Micky, I like you to meet Yunho and Jaejoong. Yunho is the ugly one and Jaejoong is the pretty one beside him.” He laughed as he was saying this, so the guys knew that it was a joke.

Kim Jaejoong looked different from his file picture. He was blond in that picture but here his hair is back to black and the face is as exquisite as before, flawless porcelain skin, red lips, big doe like eyes, all which contributed to a very attractive man. The man beside him, the one who called Junsu, well he’s not ugly as Junsu said, he's actually quite handsome and manly when compared to Jaejoong. He’s a bit taller than Jaejoong, with brown hair and piercing eyes. The two make a good contrast. They were sitting next to each other and you can tell from their body language that they seemed close.

Here I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find him among the large student population but someone up there must have taken pity on me to let me meet him on my first day (or maybe it’s just my angel Junsu who lead me to him?) I looked back at the couple in front of me and wondered about their relationship.

Could this Yunho be one of those agents from Interpol? He seemed protective of Jaejoong, keeping his arms on him when he was talking. He had that look about him, especially the eyes which seemed to take in every little details of anyone who come close to Jaejoong. I could feel his eyes looking me over and assessing whether I can be allowed to go near Jaejoong.

“Hyung, stop that, you’re scaring people.” Junsu voice broke the staring from Yunho.

“Sorry, so where did you pick up him up, along the corridors?” Yunho teased.

Junsu blushed, “Why do you people keep saying that? I don’t do that.”

“Yes, you do.” Three voices chimed in unison.

“Attention, class.” The teacher’s voice broke our chat and we got back to our seats, Yunho and Jaejoong sitting together in front of us, I was sitting on the right to Junsu and Changmin on the left, behind them. This was as good a spot for me to observe them, which I did ignoring the droning coming from the lecturer in the front of the class. Besides me, Junsu and Changmin seem to be enthralled by the lecture and I settled down to do my “work” for the next 2 hours.
