Don't worry! I didn't have a DS for the longest time, plus I lost my Sapphire game, so I was stuck with playing Pokemon Silver for months.
The cool thing about Silver/Crystal/Gold is how simple it is. You don't have to memorize a million Pokemon names. :)

I think I still have an old Gameboy Color somewhere in my closet with Pokemon Yellow on it. XD Ahh, nostalgia...

I have Pokemon Yellow still. :D Good times, good times.
But I traded my Gameboy Color for the Gameboy Advanced when it came out... and shortly after that I traded my GBA for an SP.
