I want to first apologize for my complete absence from LJ as of late, it just hasn't been on my mind lately. When I've gotten some sleep, I promise to go through the backlog that I have accumulated and be a good lj friend once again ( Read more... )

I was just browsing randomly around in your journal (because I have nothing better to do with myself..) and I found this entry, and it's awesome! :D I love that you named your hard drives after sc-fi shows/movies. This just cracked me up, I had to comment!
It also makes me think about renaming mine too.. I gave them such lame names, like I called my external drive "küken", which is german for fledgling or a young chicken...*lol*

:) I like random journal browsing when I'm bored too. Most of the time I don't find much but, on occasion, I find something cool. Seeing as I know where you're coming from, I'm glad you enjoyed this entry.

I can't believe it took me this long to name the hard drives like I did but I'm certainly glad I got around to it. I only wish I had more to name (although I could name my PS3, that has a hard drive!). And it still cracks me up when I think about it too much. Silly geeky things are like my shiny things. They even make me go "ooh" and "aah". :D

I'm all for renaming hard drives and if you ever get around to renaming yours you can drop me a line and tell me what you came up with. And I think the küken name isn't too bad...would be better if it was a headless chicken though, just because they run around in circles.

Oh, and for lame names my iPod is still "pod". Ugh.

totally agree with you, silly geeky things are awesome :D

As soon as I can think of some cool or funny names, I'll rename my hard drives. Then I'll write you what I called them! ;)
And I'm sure you'll find a good name for your ipod sooner or later!

I was thinking this morning about a name for the iPod and...well...

Think IPsec is *too* geeky (difficult to imagine, I know)? I think it fits for my little iPod just right though. :D
