The First is Most Important But For the Sake of Your Sanity, Has the Least Amount of Words

A few, very important things from this weekend, in order of importance:

  1. OMFG, NY GIANTS GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL (that's my team, btw)!!!!!! I'm not thrilled by having a re-match with the Patriots after beating them four years ago, I really wanted Baltimore to win, but I'll take what I can get. Needless to say there was a lot of screaming, shouting ( Read more... )

"Dr. Who." Heheh. Yeah, it bothers me, too.

I forgot to mention I fixed my PS3 with a paint stripper, some thermal compound, and a Philips head screwdriver, didn't I?

Ok, that's actually pretty damn awesome.

I was highly tempted to scream at the screen saying, "that's not how you spell it! It's DOCTOR Who! Not like he's a medical doctor...every day...or time...." It's the little things that matter.

Ok, that's actually pretty damn awesome.

Kinda is (if I may be so bold and not really humble), particularly when I'm expecting it to crap out on me at any moment now. So far so good. *knocks on wood* I meant to do an actual post on it but not a lot care about my antics with electronics and how I have a bit too much fun doing it (I think motherboards are pretty). I'm not so sure the RRoD can be fixed in a similar fashion though.

"not being funny but ur distracting my mum from DOING HER JOB OF MAKING ME A BACON SANDWICH!!!!!!!! SO CLEAR OFF U PERSON THAT NEVER LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN TO MAGGIE THATCHER READ A BOOK!!!!"
...sorry about that, but my pathetic youngest son wrestled the keyboard off me whilst whining he is hungry! I dunno...kids of today...

The little git pressed Send, and told me "Well, you should have made me a sandwich"

Well...considering you just had big riots recently over gods-know-what and with a quarter of the film being riots in Britain at the time...you tend to come up with conclusions, right or wrong! If "pathetic" youngest would like to recommend me a book on British politics/history of the time then I'd be more than happy to read it and report back to you. How's that for a deal you cheeky bugger sweet darling?

And don't make him a sandwich. I'm pretty sure he's more the capable of making his own! SO THERE! :P

(For the record, I doubt I would have agreed with any of Thatcher's policies considering I'm a liberal/progressive. FYI...if that counts.)

I'll find you some links that explain the recent riots, (which were basically about discrimination) and the other riots we had 30 years ago (destruction of nationally owned sectors and taxation that penalised the poor). Normally we stick to only protest marches, honest!

I didn't make the cheeky git naughty pup his sandwich but I did supervise him; and I got him to make us tea. *passes you a cup*

(Oh yes, it counts a lot! Thatcher was the sort of person that you could admire for achieving what she did without actually liking her... if that makes sense)

I think I remember the most recent riots starting out as being about discrimination but ended up as just being an excuse for violence (as things tend to get out of hand, no matter how just the cause). But, to be completely honest, "nationally owned sectors" means absolutely nothing to me. And when did we ever care about the poor? ...Sorry, I have a dry sense of political humour.

Oh, thank you much for the cup. What's on the tea menu today anyway?

(Do a YouTube search for Bernie Sanders, one of my Senators, and you'll know practically where I stand on anything. He's a great demagogue, in a good way. As for Thatcher, I admire her as a person, for what she did for women's rights indirectly (I'm still waiting for my female president), and for doing what she thought was right. Can't blame someone for that. I just happen to...disagree with practically anything the conservative side comes up with. So, yeah, made perfect sense.)

Oh yeah, they write Dr. Who here, as well. UGH

Haven't seen The Iron Lady yet, but I'm very interested. Plus, you know, Meryl Streep is flawless. ♥
