You know it's cold when you need to calculate the best position possible to put on your many layers before going outside, preferably where you are closest to the door as possible without getting the cold draft. Then there's how far you have to walk for after a few layers, it gets warmer and warmer before you venture outside. So you put on the neck- ( Read more... )

1. SNOW!!!!! Though it is rough with the bitting cold.
2. Hope the family thing goes well.
3. It's been awhile since I've seen the West Wing. I used to watch it religiously though. It is an excellent show.

1. SNOW! I could really use a nice blizzard, white-out optional.

2. It'll be fine. Not looking forward to the game of pick-up sticks though; those games make me too anxious.

3. The West Wing is probably the only show that could have satisfied audiences from both sides of the fence. It's utterly amazing.

snow huh? we're in an icy rain phase right now, think I'd prefer the snow *sigh*

I've been using the cross-posting thing now and then, but I always leave it so people can comment at either as it doesn't bother me where people comment

Ice? LOL. I didn't even know you got to freezing temperatures over there (well, higher up I'd imagine it gets colder, but you have the gulf stream keeping you warm). Now we've got the snow --> ice mix that I hate. And, after getting to 0F we're expecting it to be in the 40s tomorrow. WTF? 40 degree change in three days? How does that happen?

I might be more DW friendly if I spent more time over there yet seeing as how I need to remind myself LJ exists once and a while, looking at DW might be too much. :)

oh we do, but not as bad/often as you do it seems. according to my weather widget it's about 5C tonight in our area (for some reason we only work in C here, lol), which I think is about 40F but I'm not quite sure.

With the wind and rain though, it certainly feels colder than that right now.

Yeah, wind and rain don't mix well on colder days. I get particularly frustrated when it's cold enough to wear a winter jacket but it's raining. I hate that! Every year!

I'm pretty sure my widget will work in both C and F, but is obviously set for the latter. I do have all four important weather zones: my area, London, Dublin, and Sydney. When it gets to international places, it only has so many. Dublin was all I could get for Ireland when I really wanted Galway. :(
