Dark, Dark, Dark but I loved it. The internal musing of Adelaide Brooke. I like what came out of your thoughts.

The whole episode was dark but I love it for that. I was also thinking, as I watched it, that Adelaide is a Doctor in her own right. Smart, quick, on top of things, and in control. She was a better Doctor than he was in this episode, me thinks. I think I've found a favorite guest character for the Nu-Who meme...

Thanks for the read. I'm happy it didn't turn out to be a complete mush of ideas. The brain is rather scrambled, you see.

Painful, but wonderful.

I promise I won't always write such painful stuff. Really. I mean it!

And thank you. :)

Guess I've hit my stride then? :) (Thank you, in other words.)

I second that "YES!" wholeheartedly. The Doctor wasn't really proving anything to himself, as he already knew exactly what he was capable of, but he wanted to prove it to someone else and to his own people that he didn't need them, and his guilt, anymore. It just didn't work out the way he wanted it to. The start of the downfall of an era. Man, I love this episode. I need to do something more with this.... *ponders*

ETA: On a somewhat related note, rather took the Doctor long enough to realize that he has an incredible amount of power over time and he's the only one who has it currently. Power is a corrupting force, even to one of high moral standards, and, eventually, it is the downfall of even the greatest of heroes.

Definitely. XD And thank you, for this story.

And I pretty much agree with everything you say here - it just hadn't occurred to me that that was why he was doing it, but of course he is!

Oh, I've really got to start working on my WoM AU...
