My True Top 100 Songs

Feb 26, 2011 15:57

Seeing as everyone has been infinitely curious about my music tastes, I'm going to first point you to my Last.fm Account, in particular my library of played artists by play countI scrobble pretty much everything I listen to, being the anal-retentive type that I am about these things, but it's a shadow of a list for the most part; I'm missing a year ( Read more... )

That is quite a playlist some of them I am familer with and others I am not. But I did notice Seether I think you might want to try out Nightwish, and Within Temptation I think you might like them.

I've tried Nightwish and Within Temptation as well...just not as much. And Lacuna Coil now that I think of it. Listening to Octane on XM Radio gives you a lot of great hard rock to listen to. :)

All of these songs have been played at least 90 times if that gives you some perspective. I've just got way too much music.

Man I wish I had XM radio I would love to cruise down the road listening to that channel. You can never have to much music because different music goes with different moods.

You could always try the online-only subscription (I think they still have it). It won't help you in the car but at least when you're connected you can listen. Personally, I love Kayla. She plays the best music out of all the DJs on that station.

*goes to put on Octane* There we go. :)

Yup, for the most part I think we have some alike tastes, but of course there are some artists I don't know about...

Yet. Give me time. ha.

:D

Well, some are covers (obviously "Bad Romance" by 30 Seconds to Mars is one, as well as their cover of "Stronger") and a ton are from Bear McCreary, the composer who did the music for Battlestar Galactica (which, I hear, your bf knows all about). A lot of them have showed up in this list only recently, particularly the two mentioned before and The Script's "Exit Wounds" (they were all my comfort songs as I went through the last month...or few).

It is rather amazing that all of these songs have at least 90+ plays on them each. That's...a lot of music listening.

You going to give us a peak at your music collection? *bats eyelashes* Pretty please?

(Stop with the icon teasing! I now totally have a crack!fic plotbunny about Rose getting her gun. It's complete and utter crack.)

I love [good] covers *dreamy sigh* I should check those out...somehow.

I noticed a lot of Bear McCreary (oh yes, the bf loves the BSG) on your list. Comfort songs as well as angsty ones make a lot of appearances on my list. And yes, that is a lot of music listening! I'm rather envious of that too since I'm up and all over the place or talking to people and so it interrupts my music listening. And my friend will sometimes stay in my office working and so I usually have it on Pandora on the Alicia Keys station. I like the station but it's the only thing we can both agree on. She doesn't really like my taste in music I think...

Hehe oh, how can I turn down that request - you may make fun of me though because there is some music that is just so corny but I love it. Well, other ppl think it's cheesy...

Heheh I have to tease!!!! I want a plot bunny list named after me lol

Those are actually good covers. I love the band (as you can tell) and those covers were done in a much slower pace than the original songs. Plus, they were done for BBC One so there you go! (Oh! And try Cat Power's cover of "I Found A Reason" from the V for Vendetta movie. OMG, love that movie!!!)

(I love BSG too!) :P

I rather wish that I had a Top 100 before the whole break-up happened, as a ton would have been out of there, but you never know. Pandora is nice, although I'm not a fan of Alicia Keys, and I mostly use it when I can't find a good artist/playlist on my iPod. The whole massive listening spree is in part because I listen all-day long during work and I'm mostly uninterrupted, hence, lots of playing!

And I can do cheesy....Um, I gave you that Enchanted song for your playlist! I do have lots of Goo Goo Dolls, Train, The Wallflowers...wait, are those cheesy? Idk.

*fans self* Seriously, the iconz. I think they're starting to affect me. My brain is melting.
