Alright, this is why I never put my music (which is close to around 13,000 songs on my iPod alone) on random: I get songs that make me want to cry
( Read more... )
I hate/love it when that happens. Most of the time, since I'm working as I listen to music, I have it on as background noise (ever seen High Fidelity? When Rob says, "I just want something I can ignore!" yeah, that's me sometimes) and then a song like that will come on and I just stop and sort of stare off into space for awhile until it's over. And I just get so sad *sigh*
I always listen to music at work (I'm in a bloody library, it's too quiet! My brain gets bored without it) but with only one earbud in. Creates for some interesting sound effects when the artist has sound going on in one ear. (And no, I haven't seen High Fidelity but I love that quote! I feel like that at work all the time....Sigh

Ooooo library! I love libraries and books so...just ignore me. Yeah, I do tedious work and I need the music to keep me sane. I have a little office so I have it on but have to turn it down when students come in *grumbles* And you should definitely try to catch High Fidelity sometime. It's great for music-lovers. The book is wonderful too :) It's by Nick Hornby.
Good music. And those extra lyrics...*sigh* they don't fail to get me all weepy over Doomsday and just Doctor Who in general. I just finished re-watching Series 2 about a week ago *sigh* I'm sighing a lot but that's what DW does to me.
And the movie! That's right :) I have it in R2 but yeah, I so want to get it in Feb :D Good thing you reminded me!

Libraries are ok but my job is tedious as well. Same thing, all day, and it's been getting slower and slower (which is so unusual). There is one day a week that I go to the Research Annex, the dungeon really, and I'm all alone with old books. I found a rather old book I keep meaning to do a post about (with pictures) but these damn plot bunnies and bad weekends keep getting in my way. Hrm.
I'll keep an eye out for High Fidelity sometimes. Maybe it's on Netflix instant queue....
It's February now...when does the movie come out again? I need some crap 90s plot with shoe squee. :D
*ding* (OMG, I love knowing that your phone dings with each new email. *evil laughter*)

I know you aren't crying but do you mind if I have one of those tissues you aren't holding? Thanks, hun.
