very hot!

I am in a very expensive internet cafe - well it is a tiny room really with no coffee because Sri Lankans do not have coffee but TEA - and I have come here first! I am very afraid to open my emails as there will no doubt be too much work and grief and bad news. I have had no headaches yet in Sri Lanka despite the worst leeches I have ever seen, ( Read more... )

Ah! It's an Anna!

Glad you're seeing lots of cuties, and sorry to hear about those leeches! Glad you're not getting headaches too: that's definitely a major Good Thing.

It's been stormy and rainy here, so you needn't worry about missing some kind of romantic English summer while you're away, as we're not having one this year apparently.

I am trying to draw plans for my thesis / book, but at the moment I'm beset by smudgy pens.

Hope all continues well!

Just a quick note! I have now been sending people text messages cos I found out I can do it for 1 pence per message! I think it is less than that actually because it is two rupees. I am in Galle - a city on the coast - to see the best neurologist in Sri Lanka about my head. He can not only see me, but can also send me for a scan - all for less than 10 quid and within a week or two - this is so great - almost worth the price of the plane fare if one wanted to do the same with private doctor in UK ( ... )

Hi Anna!

Great that you're getting to see this neurologist guy. I would say that is definitely worth doing while you are there and it is so cheap. Although it sounds like you must be having more problems to think of going to see him at all, which is worrying - I hope you're generally as OK as possible?

That leech story is the worst leech story I have ever heard! I think most of the leech stories I've heard have been from you, but that is definitely the worst yet anyway. I think to top that one, you would have to have a leech crawl in your ear or up your nose and start eating your brain! (I hope that doesn't happen!).

By the way, I'm not sure whether you realise, but because you posted this message by replying to a comment I'd left in your journal, it has come up as another comment below your earlier message about it being very hot (which is here). This means that people like Ed, Kate and Neil probably won't see it unless they are browsing through your journal back-entries, because it's an addition to an old post, rather than a new ( ... )
