Kris stared out the cabin window in awe; it was the perfect vision of a white Christmas. There looked to be at least half a foot of snow, probably more. He clutched the blanket a bit closer around his body, smiling as he shuffled back over to the bed where Adam was curled up. He was possibly even more beautiful than the view outside. His hair was sticking in every possible direction, and even in sleep it seemed to be a controlled mess, and he was worrying the corner of his lip. Kris grinned as he saw a splash of freckles across the older man’s back and neck and pretty much every corner of skin showing above the sheet.
“Hey Adam.” He beamed as blue eyes flickered open and the pale lips curled at the sight of his boyfriend.
“Mmm, morning.” He sat up, stretching and for a few seconds Kris warred with himself, sure he didn’t deserve to be with someone like Adam. Adam, however, broke up the fight with a huge grin and his eyes set on the window. “It snowed!” He shot up from the bed and rushed over to the plane of glass. He giggled and turned back to Kris. “We have to go out and play in it!”
Kris laughed and moved over to Adam, wrapping his arms and the blanket around him before leaning up on his toes for a kiss. “Let’s get dressed first, hmm?” Adam rolled his eyes but walked the both of them over to the dresser anyway.
“Clothes are overrated, baby.”
Kris snorted. “Says the man who brought five suitcases filled with clothes.”
Adam shot him a playful glare before pulling on an old band t-shirt and jeans then his jacket and snow boots. “I’m going to get you back for that, Allen. Just you wait.”
Kris snickered and threw on his clothes before moving down the stairs with Adam following him. He grabbed his scarf then handed Adam his, smiling as the taller man grimaced. “What is your obsession with plaid? Seriously.” He wrapped it around his neck anyway and pulled on his gloves before racing outside with all the energy of a kid hyped up on six pounds of sugar.
He laughed and jogged out after him, then sputtered as a ball of slush hit him in the face. “Ha ha! I told you I would get you back!” He ducked down behind the truck coated with white. Kris smiled as he heard a squeal when some of the snow flew off from another snowball. “Holy fuck that is cold!”
They spent at least another half hour outside, laughing and running all around the field around the cabin. Kris ended up buried in the snow with Adam above him, their lips clicking together in the cool air. When they managed to separate and get back up Kris’ back and Adam’s pant legs were soaked through and within seconds they were shivering.
“I’ll start on some hot chocolate.” Kris managed to stutter out as he shuffled over to the kitchen. The snow had soaked straight through his jacket to his shirt. “You get started on the fire and I’ll bring down some clothes for us to change into.”
Adam chuckled as he moved to the great room. “I’d say just get some blankets.” He winked when Kris peeked around the corner. “Those clothes won’t be on for very long.”
Kris sputtered for a few moments before pulling back into the kitchen and Adam tried not to burst into giggles as he heard several bangs and curses from the room. He sighed as the small flame from the bit of newspaper he threw in grew and the heated air blew over him. “Oh my god, Kris. It feels so good.”
He turned as he heard the smaller man’s footsteps coming closer and stared. Kris stood with nothing but a blanket around his body, two mugs held in the hand not gripping the blanket together. He grinned and sat down beside him. “I figured I’d save you some time.”
Adam smirked, taking the mug and reveling in the way it heated his fingers. “You’re a dirty tease, Allen.” He pulled off his soaked jeans and moved under the blanket with Kris. “I hope you know that.”
Kris chuckled and pressed his lips to Adam’s cheek before tucking his head against the clothed shoulder. “You love me for it.”
“Oh.” Adam licked his lips and set the mug aside, grinning from ear to ear as he moved Kris’ mug to the side, as well. “You’re damn right I do.” He arched a brow as Kris’ smile grew. “Want proof?”
Kris chuckled and set the blanket across the floor, draping his arms around Adam’s neck and pressing their lips together. It wasn’t any of the careful, languid kisses like before. It was still slow, but there was some urgency behind the soft touch. After he pulled away Kris grinned, licking those devilish lips. “Merry Christmas to me.” He caught Adam’s mouth again before he could laugh.
Adam groaned as they separated and smiled, feeling Kris’ lips mimic the expression. “You want your present, baby?”
Kris chuckled before slipping one hand down Adam’s back, stopping just at the base of the taller man’s spine and pressing down, forcing their hips together. He smirked as Adam moaned again before breathing out. “Yes please.”
They stayed curled in front of the fireplace, wrapped up only in each other until midnight passed.
