Title: Take Me With You
Rating: PG
Summary: Talks of engagement and silly fluff.
Warnings: Fluff? Not much to warn in this chap.
Notes: And last one. At least of this part, sequel coming and no, it’s not going to be all smiles and rainbows like this chapter. And will write about what happened during those thirteen months. I’ll try and have the first part of the next series up soon.

“What made you come back?” Adam’s voice was quiet, but it still made Kris jump in the dark room. They’d been in the exact same place for the past however many hours, curled together with Adam’s hand brushing through Kris’ hair and his head against Adam’s chest.

He cleared his throat before shifting a little so his head settled on Adam’s shoulder, their eyes connecting in the dark. “I went back to my old apartment.” He smiled when he saw Adam start to frown. “The DVD helped.”

Adam sighed. “I was so afraid to show that to you, I figured that’d be the one place you wouldn’t go to find it.” He huffed. “I looked horrible in it.”

Kris rolled his eyes. “Oh yeah, because how you looked was the important thing there.” He looked up at Adam, then brushed his thumb along the downward curl of Adam’s lips, grinning when they shifted upward. “You looked amazing, anyway.”

Adam giggled and wrapped his arms around Kris again. He kept letting out contented breaths, chuckling a few times, before Kris moved up onto his feet and he whined. “No. Come back.” Kris laughed as Adam made little grabby hands at him.

“How did I ever end up being engaged to someone like you?” The word rolled off his tongue sweetly and he grinned. “I’m engaged.”

He heard Adam giggle and felt his fiance's warmth cocooning his body from behind. “Say it again, Kris.”

Kris chuckled, tilting his head back slightly to press their lips together. “Whatever you say, fiance.” Adam giggled, planting kisses all over any bit of skin he could find before lifting Kris off his feet, out of the studio and into their bedroom. They collapsed to the bed in a fit of laughter, giggling still when Adam rolled over on top of Kris. He lowered his lips to Kris’ gently, the hand not supporting him above the younger man’s body stroking the cool metal of the ring on Kris’ left hand.

Kris flinched as orange burst behind his lids, lifting a hand to keep the offending light out before grumbling and turning over. He cracked his eyes open slightly and smiled when he saw Adam there. The other night he thought he’d lost this, and seeing Adam as serene and vulnerable as he was at that moment was one of Kris’ favorite things.

He lifted a hand to stroke along Adam’s brow, moving down along a freckled cheek and finally to the necklace. He rubbed his thumb gently along the inscription, stilling for a second when Adam stirred.

“Nngh… what time is it?” He bit into his lip to stop from laughing at Adam’s sleep-muddled voice. Half-lidded blue eyes fell to him and a tired smile spread across freckled lips. “Pretty…”

Kris burst into laughter then. “I think you might need more sleep.” He giggled before lifting himself to get out of the bed when Adam’s arms snaked around his sides. “Adam…”

“No…” He pulled Kris back down, pressing a sleepy - sloppy and fantastic - kiss to Kris’ lips before reaching for his cell phone. “Let’s stay home today.” He typed in a quick text then tossed his phone back onto the nightstand. “I want my fiance all to myself for now.”

Kris chuckled, grabbing his phone and sending a text to Lizzie with some fake illness excuse before curling his arms around Adam for more sweet kisses.

“I love you.” Kris shuddered as Adam’s breath misted over his neck, lips tracing a vein and sending his pulse rocketing away. He inhaled sharply as Adam drew a line of moisture along the vein from his collar bone to his jaw, shivering again as he blew across it on the way back down. “So beautiful…”

Kris frowned as Adam pulled back suddenly. “Get back here…” He glared as Adam just grinned at him before bringing his mouth down on Kris’ bare chest.

“We should go back to the cabin.” Adam mumbled against Kris’ chest, tracing his lips along the line of his pecs. “It shouldn’t be too hard to get everyone to Colorado.”

Kris smiled slightly, his fingers tangling in Adam’s hair. “Wedding at your uncle’s cabin?”

Adam grinned. “Our cabin, actually.” He lifted his head to look up at Kris. “He figured we’d be getting married sometime soon, so he gave it to us as a wedding gift.”

Kris giggled, pulling Adam up to smash their lips together. They stayed in the bed just like that for the rest of the day, ignoring any calls and just staying in their own bubble with whispers and promises of a better life to come.

Thirteen Months Later

Adam sighed, walking off the stage and right into his husbands arms. He grinned and pressed a kiss to Kris’ temple earning a bout of cat calls from the band behind him and the few fans that had gained passes and were just moving into the hallway. Kris giggled and wrapped his arm around Adam’s back, squishing himself right into his spot in Adam’s side.

“I can’t believe it’s been nine months.” Kris sighed, loud enough for only Adam to hear. The older man just grinned and pressed another kiss before moving along the hallway and signing whatever the fans shoved into him.

He stopped, though, when he came to a couple with a young girl cradled in the woman’s arms. He chuckled as the girl squealed. “Oh my gosh he’s here!” She tugged on her mother’s shirt. “Mommy! Get it out!”

The mother laughed and pulled a camera out of her purse. “I’m sorry.” He bounced the little girl on her hip for a bit. “Tessa here is a little bit crazy about you.” She looked up at Adam. “She’d love-”

“Can I take a picture with you, Mister Lambert, please please please?”

They all laughed as the little girl blurted out and started bouncing again. Adam chuckled. “Yeah it’s fine.”

The woman nodded and handed her husband the camera for a moment before handing the girl to Adam. He hesitated for a moment before taking hold of her. She stopped bouncing as soon as he had a good hold and wrapped her tiny arms around Adam’s neck. He smiled a little and brushed a strand of brown hair behind her ear, chuckling lightly when she giggled and looked up at him with huge, joy-filled brown eyes.

“Okay, got it.” He frowned as the woman reached for the little girl, almost wanting to hold her to his chest and start running. He sighed and let the woman take her. “And it looks like she already has him wrapped around her little finger.” She chuckled at Adam’s pout.

“She is cute.” Kris whispered as he settled into Adam’s side again. “How old is she?”

The husband wrapped an arm around his wife, grinning broadly. “Just turned four last month.” He looked down the line at the other fans waiting. “We’ll let you go now. Sure you have a long night ahead of you.” He smiled before he ushered his wife and a reluctant Tessa through the hall.

Adam huffed and moved to the next person waiting, not seeing Kris grinning beside him as he sulked through until they got to the hotel, to where he dramatically flopped onto his bed with a sigh.

“So I’m guessing you think nine months isn’t too soon for a little baby girl?”

Adam looked up to glare at his husband grinning at him. “I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.”

Kris’ smile softened and he settled in beside Adam. “You wanted to run off with her as soon as she was in your arms, it was kind of obvious.”

Adam sighed, looking over at his husband sadly. “I wouldn’t want to ruin her life though.” He stared up at the chalky ceiling. “I don’t know what I would do being in care of someone else’s life like that.” Brown eyes stared at him for a while before he felt a pinch on his stomach. “Ow! The hell was that for?!”

Kris rolled his eyes. “You’re ridiculous if you think you would ruin anyone’s life.” He shook his head at Adam’s raised eyebrow. “You’d be a great dad, I know you would be, so don’t you dare say otherwise.” He raised himself up onto his elbows. “Alright?”

Adam nodded slowly then watched Kris settle back into the bed. He let out a breath as Kris flicked off the light and snuggled up into his side. He closed his eyes to try and go to sleep, but his mind was too busy rushing around thinking over Kris’ words and the little girl he held in his arms.

He met the couple at the next venue, the little girl, Tessa, in tow again. He smiled as he walked up to them before the concert. “I didn’t think I’d ever be seeing you again.”

The mother chuckled. “Us or Tessa?” She offered the little girl to him, and smiled as he brought her up into his arms again. “She couldn’t stop talking about going to see you again. We didn’t really have a choice.”

Kris grinned. “I think he’s just as crazy about her now.”

The father laughed. “Yeah we noticed.” He held a hand out to Kris. “Reese.” He grinned and the wife just pulled Kris into a hug when he offered a hand. “And my very tactile wife Callie.”

She rolled her eyes and elbowed him. “You love it you big oaf.” She looked back at Adam. “We aren’t going to stay after the concert this time, it’s been hard enough to get Tess to sleep without her being excited about getting more hugs from Adam Lambert.”

Adam nodded and chuckled as she yawned and snuggled into him. “I think she’s getting her fill right now.” He sighed as he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. “I’ve got to go though, maybe I’ll see you inside before the show.” He handed Tessa back to Callie and let out a little huff before Kris pulled him along into the stadium.

“So.” Kris smiled as Adam shuffled in from the hotel bathroom, face clear and wearing only his black fleece pajama pants. “I talked to Callie a little during the concert.”

Adam looked up. “And?” He sighed as he flopped onto the bed. “What happened?”

Kris shrugged. “She just said that Tessa would love if she could spend some time with you outside of concerts and meet and greets.” He reached over Adam onto the nightstand and pulled up a small piece of paper with a number written on it. “She said to call whenever we have time.”

He arched a brow. “In New York?”

Kris grinned, shaking his head. “Nope, apparently they’re just vacationing here. They actually live in Culver City.”

Adam paused for a moment before he sat up. “Culver city as in just half an hour from LA?” When Kris nodded Adam grinned and hugged him. “I love you, my brilliant man.” He pressed kiss after kiss to Kris’ face and neck.

Kris chuckled. “I dunno, maybe it’s not so brilliant seeing as you seem to forget all about me.” He pouted, smiling only when Adam pressed a long kiss to his bottom lip. “But I guess I could share.”

“How about right now we just concentrate on each other, hmm?” He smirked at Kris’ gasp as he popped the snaps of his pajama top in one pull. “How’s that?”

Kris rolled his eyes. “Just shut up and come back here.”

Adam grinned goofily, saluting for a moment before Kris grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him down.
