I function like an extrovert amongst introverts, in that my idea of a good time includes being a room full of introverts reading, playing with computers, running a tabletop game, occasionally having someone say something completely random that popped into their head and having that conversation until it's is done (sometimes short, sometimes long), etc. But being in a room full of people with no books, or computers, or whatnot - i.e. expecting people to be my focus - that is not such a good time for me. If they're all introverts who don't mind silences it can be OK (because I want them to have a good time too!), but unless I know them I don't know if they are, so I tend not to like gatherings with strangers for this reason.
Maybe I'm just an introvert who really likes people ;P.

That said, I feel morally obliged to point out that I am an introvert who talks a lot and thinks quickly :)
