Hi all!

I know everyone's been busy. It's the summer. Other things are going on (LAS, a collaboration fest, everyone fleeing to the shiny Sherlock and The Avengers fandoms, etc.). Your office is implementing a new database/operational system and everything is going to pieces (*cough cough*). Life is happening.

Sounds good to me! I am eternally grateful to this comm for breaking up some severe writer's block with its intriguing prompts and photos, and I'm glad you're taking steps to keep it alive. (And it's always interesting to see how different people interpret the prompts when there are multiple submissions).

I like the idea of continuing to post prompts with no time limit, and the big over-all vote at the end of the hiatus just to make things a little more interesting. Let's do it!

I'm glad to hear it! It's important to me to keep this active - partially because I will forget about it if I'm not on a strict schedule!

The end vote could be a lot of fun, I think! :D

Thanks for being understanding! I know some people really like the challenge aspect (I do too!) so I wanted to try and keep the best of both worlds!

Hi

I was loving writing for this, but unfortunately my life decided to go belly up - it is getting better slowly but my writing time is a lot less (having young kids I have trouble writing when they are awake, and trying to not spend time with an ex that lives in the same house means time in my room, with no computer) but it is getting better and hopefully I'll be able to write some more soon please keep this going, it is appreciated.

Absolutely! I'm glad to see you're still interested, and I hope life clears up a bit for you to write! :D

Oh! Challenges without time limits? YAY! I might actually get around to writing some of them! I always look and them and go "ooooh, interesting!", but then realise there is no way I could get something written to a deadline and never try :( So, yay, I might actually give some of them a go! :)

I'm glad you are keeping it alive. I actually do better with strict time limits, procrastinator that I am, but with it being summer and LAS and bingos, its a busy time.

Maybe you could look at it as a week deadline - finish before the next prompt goes up? :)

I could - but I'd know that its not a really true deadline - and I'll continue to procrastinate!
