[Bonnie's been feeling a bit up in spirits recently. The language event hadn't been that bad, and what's more, she received another present because of it! She spent a while examining it, cleaning it, making sure the bullets were still in there, and everything seemed set. With that, her usual kitchen knife and missiles tucked away and hidden in her ( Read more... )

-Eirin, dressed rather pleasantly in her nurse uniform, answers the door with a cordial smile and a pleasant demeanor. You would have no idea this woman broke her own "daughter's" finger at the joint just for flipping her off.-

Well hello, dear!

Call it experience.

-The bow was summoned quickly, and several luminary arrows were readied to be fired. In the blink of an eye, they flew in Bonnie's direction.-

[Just as she had heard about. Bows and arrows were a bit old-fashioned, but she imagined that someone with her strength wouldn't use them if they weren't effective. As out of practice as the Darkhunter was despite Minatsuki and Morrigan being around, she still managed to somehow evade most of the arrows, albeit them grazing her and causing visible cuts and scratches to show up on her clothes and in her skin. Regardless, she was aware that she had to keep moving, suck all the pain up and remain mobile otherwise she'd be caught instantly. Despite that, she'd take a moment to shoot a missile at Eirin. It would be loud and ineffective, but it would at least be considered some kind of offense.]

-Old-fashioned, but the specialized bow and arrows that Eirin used were hardly your traditional affair. The rocket was roughly midway between them before Eirin sent another arrow at her, this one creating almost a beam of light as it streaked right through the projecting, slicing it in two and causing a rather impressive explosion.-

[She was surprised. Those arrows are nasty business, who knows what it'd do to her skin. It was troublesome that she didn't have anything else to use at a further range than her gun and her missiles, but she'd have to try to fire her gun at the woman again. The more pressure built on her, the better.]

-Eirin quickly leapt and ducked behind the swinging bench on the porch for cover. Poor choice, but it wouldn't be needed for long. At the same time, she let loose a much LARGER volley of shots, this time in the form of a curtain of energy bullets.-

w2g, LJ. So just in case we lose interest and this is dropped, Eirin's going to win? :P redhuntinghood October 20 2009, 17:42:31 UTC
[She of course, can't keep dodging these forever. She tried to keep shooting between dodging-- after all, she's a sitting duck there! But, it wouldn't help as she was grazed quite easily by a majority of the bullets, her movements slowing due to the sudden pain. Humans weren't designed to take this type of abuse, after all. Regardless, she kept the strain on her body and decided to circle around her, firing until the clip ran out.] Damn it...

I am in no danger of losing interest. hop_toit_udonge October 21 2009, 03:07:18 UTC
-And yet Eirin's strategy seemed to be remarkable different. Cover was one thing, but it seemed her efforts to dodge were actually designed to take the most difficult path through the girl's fire. Bullets grazed, opening small cuts and whatnot, but she seemed almost empowered by this notion. It wasn't long before the distance between them had closed and the familiar sound of a gun clicking dry rang in Eirin's ears.

Without hesitation, she readied an arrow and aimed it directly at the hunter's head between the eyes.-

[Bonnie blinked-- when did she get there?! The most she could do was quickly tilt her head, in hopes of dodging it completely like that but it wouldn't work. Instead, the arrow sliced through the side of her head, a large deep cut causing blood to flow down to her cheek.]

Im...possible... [She quickly dashes backwards, firing more missiles-- it's the only ammo she has left, before she has to resort to her knife.]

-Eirin released another massive volley of the smaller bullets in order to detonate the missiles before they reached her. Of course, the distance was not in her favor and the shockwave from the blast sent her backward, rolling a bit before catching her balance again.-

[Bonnie ends up being sent back herself, clutching her basket and panting, wiping blood out of her eye. The bullets, she wish she would've been prepared for in advance, but even if she knew, she wouldn't have been prepared enough for it. No apple grenades, no mines, and she was out of ammo in both of the things she had. There was no doubt that she couldn't withstand the kind of pain that Eirin had seemingly brushed passed with her own bullets, but she had to think of something. Rushing in carelessly was suicide it seemed, so she'd have to think of something.

She keeps in that circle and tries hard to precisely aim, and soon dashes towards her to throw a kitchen knife, not at her head, but at her torso.]

-This woman has faced down Sakuya Izayoi. You think ONE knife is going to throw her off? Eirin's hand swiftly catches the blade, though it did manage to knick her badly enough to leave an obvious wound. Still, she figured that it was a trump card. This fight wouldn't last much longer.-

[Unfortunately she was right. Bonnie wasn't going to last much longer than this, and against everything she said before, she'd have to get closer if she was going to finish this. Swinging her basket, it seemed like it was starting to grow, before she swung it vertically at Eirin. The success rate of this was low, but it was all she could do at this point.]

-With a sidestep, Eirin cleared the blow, but made no clear attempt to counterattack.-

What makes you think you could succeed where no being nearly forty centuries has?

[With a sharp glare, she grimaces at the woman.]

Because that's my job... to take things like you and knock them off of the pedestal they think they're on.

Actually, if anything, your job is gauge me on my daughter's behalf. You likely aren't even aware of how you're being used.

-She pulls out another arrow, aiming it at Bonnie's head once more. She doesn't release just yet.-

Give me a reason why I should not simply kill you like the trash you are?
