I can't even begin to tell you how lucky I feel to have had the privilege of seeing Equus. This was an experience that I will always remember and will never take for granted. EVER

Thanks for the wonderful review. I can't wait to see this for myself. I'm sure I'll agree with you and everyone else's wonderful praise of Daniel. I too worried about him smoking but I read they're not real cigs. I don't smoke either and I too don't find it sexy in the least. Anyway, I'm so happy he's knocking the socks off the critics!

Ah, right. I read somewhere that "The Smoking Man" in the X-Files smoked herbal cigarettes for his role. Jane Fonda did too in "Agnes of God".

Yes he was absolutely amazing and I totally agree with you. We are indeed a couple of the luckiest people around...and you know what? I think we both realize that it's something we'll never take for granted; and we're definitely in good company! :)

I've been so busy trying to prepare my posts and catching up with comments, I haven't been able to get to my flist yet. I should be caught up with my replies to comments by tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to reading what you thought of the play.

I think your review of the play may be the last I read (besides C's when she goes. That's if she posts something on it). But yes, this'll be the last...because I just can't take much more of it.

Everytime I hear about it, it makes my heart break even more. Either because of the ties of emotions that I feel so strongly right now or maybe even possibly because it kills me that I can't go and see it myself.

But I don't want you thinking that you're at any fault whatsoever since I'm not reading anymore reviews. I know how you think love. I'm inside your head. *giggles*

But...what a BEAUTIFUL way of depicting your experience of seeing the play. It just makes me weep. Absolutely.

MOG, I can't take much more of this. My heart nearly died on me when I read April's post...and then yours. *bites lip* I think it's because there is such PASSION in the way it's being told.

the twitching and such....was in 'in character' or was it just 'Dan' do you think? I think it could be a character thing, but yes, it seems like he would be...does he have ADD as well...probably not, since he can focus for so long...but I digresss

I think the twitching was just 'Dan'. It's funny that you ask about him having ADD because I've wondered that myself. If he does, it looks to me like he might have more of the "hyperactive" tendencies (ADHD) as opposed to the attention deficit problems like I have...not sure though. A person with ADD can focus when they finally get in the "zone", almost too much, in fact. I think it's called "hyperfocusing". When it happens to me, I completely tune out what's happening around me and time just slips away. What feels like a half an hour is actually 3 or 4. It's bizarre. And sometimes annoying. I've never read anything about Dan having it, so I'm going to assume that he doesn't.

Yes it was Thursday the 22nd. Why she didn't pass out from shock is beyond me! Go April!! :)

Thanks to a review like this, I feel like I was there. I'm so glad for Dan, like you said, the media blew the whole nudity thing out of proportion, and kudos to him for daring to take on this role. All of this reminds me of something I learned when I was an undergrad way back then: ethics cannot dictate aesthetics and viceversa. (or something like that)
I'm looking forward of seeing Daniel in future movies besides HP.
