well, if we look at it from the point of view that the boy was jewish and Jews typically don't blow up planes, then yes, he was an idiot

if we look at it from the point of view that a strange prayer ritual alarmed the crew and passengers and typically when this happens with muslim prayer, pilots land planes, then no, he wasn't an idiot

This aircraft has good communications equipment, getting someone knowledgeable of tifflin in the dispatch is not that hard.

so getting someone knowledgeable in muslim prayer is out of the question, but tifflin - sure, they should have gotten someone?

I dunno, not a big fan of our "cousins", but it all screams discrimination and racial profiling to me.

But I remember many Jewish dispatchers, but no Muslim ones. Still I am sure that captain could get a "specialist" on any major religion on line with him within 10 minutes. Jewish just might be a little simpler.
