My on-set duties today consisted mostly of taking naps under sound blankets and munching on breakfast burritos. Woo!
To celebrate this, have some pictures from SummerSonic way back in July. Again, not the best scans, oddly, but I'll get around to scanning them myself at school eventually. (
City and Colour, The Weakerthans, and Staaaaaaars! )

I didn't know you painted! Do I get to see them when they're done?

Painting really got its hooks into me when I was fifteen or sixteen. I'd painted stuff for art class before (usually only when the assignment HAD to be painted), but until then I'd never managed to break through into that space where it all synchronized and sucked me into another dimension. The day I started to get it, I went from "Argh, this is not working AT ALL!" to "I don't wanna go to the party, I just wanna paint all night!" in the space of a couple of hours. IT WAS MAGICAL.
I've spent the last couple of year unable to paint due to depression. Now that I'm off the Paxil, it's all coming back, though. *cartwheels*

BTW, call me later and I'll sing you my version of MMAM. It's Jimmy Eat World meets Stars with a sweet cello-ish bassline.
