I've always liked Microns, even for writing. The only problem is that if you tend to "stab" with your pens, you'll push the tip in.

I think I had the same problem with Microns before. I hold my pens absurdly close to the tip-I had a few grade school teachers admonish me for it-and so I tend to apply more pressure when I write. Try as I might, but I can’t seem to hold a pen closer to the center like a sane person.

i love pilot easytouch retractable pens. they come in a wide variety of colors. (the page below shows black, red, and blue, but you can also find them in pink, aqua, purple and orange). i don't like the fine point (i'm a medium point person myself) but they do come in a fine point.

Thanks for the tip!

I did a little digging, and apparently Pilot makes retractable pens with a 0.38 mm (!) tip, otherwise known as “ultra fine”. For the longest time they were exclusive to Japan and coveted by pen fetishists worldwide, because the finest point available outside Japan was 0.5 mm. But I was informed recently that Staples.com now sells them by the dozen.

Now I’m trying to figure out what other office supplies I need so that I can cross the $50 threshold to get free shipping. I realize my logic is a little warped, but I really don’t want to pay $7 to ship a $15 box of pens. I might as well grab some other necessities while I’m at it.
