Teachers are another story. Some retirees keep in touch (my friend Joan being an excellent example), while others seem to make a point of breaking off contact.

And honestly, I thought I was glad for Diana and Cotton, until I realized I missed him. He left a sweet note on my board, and cut out before the end of the day. After I wrote the note, I thought he probably did the right thing, 'cause would have probably had to have seen me cry.
A man who worked with me as a teenager in church work passed away on Tuesday, and our minister left town for good on Sunday. I'm sure it's just everything all together, but it's been a long time since I've just sat down and cried.

It sometimes seems to me that the older I get, the more changes bother me. I'm not sure why. Maybe I've just seen to many and have reached overload. You think I'd get more used to them, but it doesn't always seem to work that way.
I hope you DO get to see some of these people from time to time.
