I'm saving this for a get-that-code-written-Missy treat, but I'm just so happy to see it!

I've been so freaking bad about feedback.

This is wonderful - I am totally caught up in this and it brings back so many memories *G* (I was a little older than 17 in the mid-80's but hey, not that much!) New fangled CDs *G*.

The way the guys go after John is real and painful and typical of threatened 17 year old guys, threatened on a lot of levels - John IS different, he's going places whether he knows it or not as yet. I love Rodney too - sure, competent, funny, and already totally intolerant of idiots. And I think he and John are so cute together, as yet oblivious to the fact they've fallen for each other. I hope you continue this into the school year, or at least if you do wrap it up when summer ends, please consider doing some kind of epilogue where we see them later on and hopefully still together...

I love this so much, I just read all six parts at one go and now I'm going to reread.

Whoo-hoo!!! I'm so glad you're enjoying it and that you made time to comment!

I confess that I am often the poster child for slacking on feedback, so I have sympathy for you -- I'm just terribly, horribly, awfully needy. :D

Thanks again!

I still haven't earned the right to send FB, but you deserve to get it:

John understood that, the desire to be defended, the greater need to shield another. Thinking about it, quickly, about how safe he felt with Rodney, cherished and protected, like someone who *deserved* that kind of concern, John realized that he couldn’t possibly violate that sense of security for someone else, even if it would mean getting all the answers that he wanted.

All I can say is, yes. Also, all the guys' voices are very sordidly accurate, what with the relentless cussing.

LOL, thank you for whatever you can give!

And I'm glad you find the voices realistic . . . I remember hearing guys at school talk and being surprised at how casually they used profanity.
