You know what, I've had that Mark Haddon book in my bookcase for like two years now and have never even opened it. Not because I've heard it's bad (on the contrary, I've heard it's really excellent) but for some reason it just always gets overcome by other books.

I'm just going to say, it took me 6 years to read it, and when I finally started (for school) I read it twice in a week! :D Definitely worth it. I was hesitant as well, but if I were you, I'd make it a priority.
