No, go ahead! I only have two more chapters to post (the rest of the fic isn't written yet) so I have time to make changes.

Well, I think you may be overdoing Spanners's accent a little. The thing is, we all know Lister has a strong Scouse accent; fair enough.

But when it's written out phonetically, an accent of any kind - French, Irish, whatever - tends to grate on the reader if it's every other word. I use the occasional "yer" or "ya" myself to give a flavour of Lister's speech.

I'm not saying there's only one right way to do it. Obviously it's your story and you can write it as you choose. :)

I appreciate you telling me, but my inner Lister is the one writing for me when I write for Lister/Spanners. I also use this language for my "Ask Dave Lister" blog. I use a Scouse translator but I edit it before I add it to the fic.
