Aww, that was great! I especially liked the neck flicking and the snide caramel sauce comments. Lister's POV is such a lovely thing to see things through.

Ooh, the guitar section was great too.

And the crying lego.

Danke! I've been writing a lot more Lister-POV since I started writing with Kahvi. *meep*

Can't wait to read the rest of this, as you ended on a bit of a cliffhanger. you know, I never really gave that much thought to why they had lost Red Dwarf's vapour trail. Interesting.

The opening with Lister little piece of quite beeing ruined by Rimmer was lovely.
As is they new guitar. Of course, Lister must have a guitar.

"Oh, my apologies, Mister Lister! I think your chord started a bit of resonance that shorted out my cognitive functions."

Hehehe, brilliant!

written a love ballad right then and there

Did he indeed?

Kryten nodded, his face looking like a set of Legos was about to cry

What a lovely line! I can see it too.
Charming pirates. Very Kryten like.

Thank ye! I'm trying to structure this one like an episode of VI - you can determine, at the end, if I've succeeded.

Ja, it just made sense to me that they lost it with all of the mucking about to find Rimmer...

leaning back slightly in the pilot's chair, his boots resting on unimportant areas of console.
*giggles*

Testy smeghead.
Yes, very tasty. No, hang on...

"We're out of caramel sauce, so she'll just taste like polyethylene from now on."
Meanwhile, OUR caramel sauce has mysteriously dissapeared from the kitchen. So THAT'S where it got to...

Lister picked his new-to-him guitar up. Thank the stars he had found it on a derelict
Thank you, always nice to see someone tidy up. :)

I think your chord started a bit of resonance that shorted out my cognitive functions.
Hee!

Nice one.

As, indeed, is this fic entire. Looking forward to the next part. Series IX hell - I've got all the RD I need right here. :)

It strikes me as a very Lister thing to do, but I now think of you every time he does it, in my head.

Tasty? Well, the caramel is gone...

Ach, well, as long as we don't have IX, we make it up as we go.
