So, I emailed Miller Lite and asked them to stop ruining my football enjoyment with their annoyingly sexist ads. Not that I think they'll stop airing "ho ho, that's the second unmanly thing you've done today right there when you did something stereotypically female lulz" ads, but I felt the need to remind them that women both drink beer and watch ( Read more... )

lol. Fred said my growing annoyance with the ads was directly related to level of stress the game brought out in me. The worse it got, the more the ads made me rant. haha. But, still, those ads were stupid.

Yeah, those are gross, too. I find all "hur hur MEN!" commercials awful. They usually do this by objectifying women and enforcing icky social stereotypes.

Ok, I may have over exaggerated with the 'manly' part as I do enjoy myself some nice boy on boy action and squeal during video games but STILL... that shit is gross.

Good for you. I love sports, especially hockey, but I get so frustrated watching sometimes because the only way women are represented are as sex objects. And that's gotten really, really old.
