Yeah. I'm still camping in shojoland. I am not leaving any time soon, I think. >__> That and feminist comics (DID YOU KNOW THERE IS A BOOK OF SWEDISH FEMINIST PORN WHICH CONTAINS ONLY COWGIRLS HELL YES) just about get me through.
Oh! The FemShep I voted for is in your icon. Oooh, my female noble dwarf is romancing Leliana. It's so delightful. Very flirtatious. Though, I just had a foursome with Leliana, Zevran, and Isabela at the Pearl.
ME! ME! Mer Shepard is the kickiest ass kickass mofo ever.
Ooo, you got the foursome! I'm going to shoot for that with this mage I'm playing. Although I didn't think about it when I made her, she looks a little bit like Majorlaine.
LOL, my daughter just ran a female noble dwarf, although she's into Alistair ;P
When Leliana sings, it gives me chills, she's done so well in that scene. And Song of Leliana is good, gives a lot of good insight into her character.
I think the female noble dwarf has the best origins. Alistair romance is awesome. But I've done it twice. (as a city elf and a human noble) Then, my Danno, (dog named Steve) human male noble, romanced Zevran.
I touched on something similar talking with someone else in fandom recently and found she was feeling exactly the same. For me the breaking point was that however much I like Stephen Fry, and I do, giving him every other show on TV to present, every other column to stick his oar in, etc etc is driving me insane. There is a limit how much posh white bloke I can take, even if he's not straight
( ... )
R&I makes me cringe, too, actually. Though, I was at the point where if someone was going to fail at me, it had better be a woman. Because, wtfever, there's no show out there that doesn't fail.
I was interested in True Blood for a minute, but there's too much sex in it for my tastes. For me, if I want sex, I'd rather read fanfic than sit through a published novel or a tv show. It's why I gravitate toward cop shows and csi type stuff. Most shows that focus on relationships between men and women (and the very rare times it's men and men or women and women) it ends up pissing me off. Because it always seems like one of the pair is forced to capitulate to the other.
I go through phases with TV watching. I can watch it a lot and then not watch it for a month. I should just write more. It angers me less. Though, on the flip side, I'm in a lot of fandoms with limited women and those that exist are written rather poorly for the most part. Alas, earwax.
