I get complimented frequently on my grammar, spelling, syntax, vocabulary, and style. I'm not sure how to take this...I'm torn between amusement and ( Read more... )

the sad thing is that if it is moon called by patricia briggs, there is no explict sex scene.

but it's still fun. just not as sexy as the coverart would make you think. this is true of all of her novels.

*cries* I've been trying for days to get a green and orange dragon and I tried for hours this morning to get a pyjama bottom pattern one. It's really not fair.

I can give you a green and orange egg. Do you know how to do exchanges?

NO! I didn't know one could exchange! Good grief. And thank you! I have tried again today for ages - i hit the egg immediately and get nothing. :(

See, I give you the "get egg" code and you click on it...and push f5...refresh...and then I abandon it. You continue refreshing like a motherfucker...until you get code~!

Moon Called! It's the first in the series by Patricia Briggs. I love this series~ it's got the whole Vampire and Werewolf thing going on, but there's also Fae. They announced themselves to the public and the heroine herself is a half-Native American Walker (she can turn into a Coyote) There's four more in the series so far, in fact the fourth was just released earlier this month.

I really love her ways of characterization, the sort of platonic and romantic nuances. Also, I love her vampires and that's saying something. I hate vampire lore, to the point where I stopped reading Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles once the vampirism plot came up because I was disgusted with the kind of Ann Rice angsting vampires. If there's Vampires in a story, the only way I like them is if they're being killed and killing peopleHowever her vampire sidecharacters are really fascinating and in the case of Stefan, quirky. She often elaborated on or expunged the cliches of the day instead of falling into the same old tropes ( ... )
