There is something fundamentally wrong with these people. The world would be better without them.

Let's set Sanadaddy on them. He'll straighten them out. D: Hopefully with a Katana.

I can truly empathise with your anger. Recently here in Australia we had a couple arrested for starving their child to death. She was nine years old and weighed 9kg ( about 20lbs.) Trying to imagine what that poor little girl went through as she slowly died for lack of food is something that haunts me. What was truly sickening was when news reports came out of the child's death and before the parents were charged was the father going on T.V. and saying that they would never do a thing like this and that they loved all their children dearly, he even let loose a tear or two. What I, and all my friends and family ,cannot understand is why this child was chosen over their other children to be starved to death. Sorry about the rant but I am so, so angry about this.

This story is just revolting. How anyone could do that to a child is beyond me. People like that don't deserve to live.

What I don't understand is why they were only charged with injury to a child and not voluntary manslaughter. Does anyone know? I mean, I'm certainly not an expert on the law, but I'm pretty that if the baby died, then they should stand trial for manslaughter. Will the charges be raised now that she's died?

Honestly, since they tried to hide the body, they may be beyond Voluntary Manslaughter. It could get upped to Second Degree Murder.

Since they hid the body, it shows some sort of attempt to cover up what they did, which usually doesn't happen with manslaughter.

True enough. They should be getting a manslaughter charge at the very least. Hopefully they stand trial for murder in the end. Bastards. *seethes*

You probably know I don't like children much. They're noisy, messy, and they're not very interesting to talk to. BUT OMG WTF THESE PEOPLE ARE SICK. SICK. Expecting a tiny toddler to say please and thank you and yes sir? CHILDREN ARE NOT ADULTS; THEIR MINDS WORK DIFFERENTLY. Especially at the age of two -- a child is just starting to test the boundaries of her world; she can't POSSIBLY be expected to be well-behaved.

At any rate, I think what appalls me the most is that the whole "well here's why he did it" is being used as an "explanation", even an excuse. THERE IS NO SUCH THING as a good explanation for harming a child. They're TINY. THEY CAN'T DEFEND THEMSELVES. ;_;

It's ridiculous that you need to pass tests and get a licence to operate a dumb four-wheeled machine, but any psycho motherfucker can find himself in charge of a little kid without so much as a by-your-leave.

I really, really, hope they fry. Both the stepfather for what he did and the mother for failing to ditch his ass when he endangered her child.
