Tezuka/Fuji:

I hate that one of them is always either leaving or dying. They really need a better set of hobbies, for serious. I hate that whenever Fuji tops, he automatically becomes an evil sadist and when Tezuka bottoms, he becomes a pussy. I hate Evil!Fuji in general, unless it's crack. And I loathe stupid Tezuka.

Hmm, don't have an OTP to speak of (I romp around too much), but there are a few things in my choice pairings that bug me:

Inukai: Kaidoh likes to play tennis, he also likes cute things. He is not a complete ball of fluff that wil auto-wilt at the sight of a little grey kitten. He can have backbone and still like animals. It's allowed. And please, please, please stop making Inui a clueless dolt. He's got a brain and he usese it on a regular basis. Please remember this. And Kaidoh doesn't have to drink Jiru every time he goes to Inui's house. In fact, you could write an entire fic without mentioning Kaidoh drinking Jiru and you probably wouldn't lose any of the story's merit.

Sanayuki: Both Sanada and Yukimura are boys, neither should be completely feminized just to emphasize the masculinity of the other. And yes, Yukimura can top if he wants to. It's not a crime.

On the subject of SanaYuki, yes. Yes. A thousand times yes. At least about the feminization... it actually seems to be more of a problem that Sanada never gets to top just lately. Though really, I guess it goes both ways... I wish neither situation happened. It makes me in danger of actually hating one of the first slash pairings I ever loved for any series. Why can they not be equal?? -_-

I'm not sure where the femme!Sanada revolution came from, perhaps a violent opposition from the previous girl!Yukimura movement, trying to counter it and even out the score. It does discourage one from staying with the pairing, though I'm hoping that, now that everyone's had their fill of both variations, there will be some sort of happy median where Sanada and Yukimura can just be boys who play tennis.

I think that's really pretty much what happened. I mean, I'm not jumping ship on the pairing (it's not quite my OTP but only because NiouYagyuu jumped in and grabbed that title) but I wish things would... yeah. They need to be tennis-obsessed teenage boys.

The anime and my OTP. Not a good mix. God, why the fuck would anyone ship Niou/Yagyuu on the basis of the anime? Manga, ok. Yes. There's some sort of bassis for it there. (Musical, when it gets here on DVD, fuck yes. Insofar as that can be taken as any sort of canon basis for anything. *grin*) Anime... golf and ugliness and a lack of any sort of closeness between them and what the hell? It's not totally, totally without redeeming points but from a pairing perspective? Ouch ( ... )

I gotta admit, though, would it not be hilariously amusing to write badfic with Yagyuu as the uberuke, clinging and whining and following his butch, manly Niou around?

I've seen painfully uke Niou in my doujinshi. I've also got a book of Rikkai doujinshi that's actually got some decent stories.
