Ann perked up visibly when Lena arrived and she moved to greet her happily, picking up one of the baskets along the way. "Oh you're right on time, dear! I understand if you're a little late what with the strangeness and the room switch... Don't you worry. This is for you."

She offered the basket. "I'm your teacher. You may call me Madam if you'd like everyone else does. If you'd like you can take a seat and tell me what you know about the arts or what you'd like to do in this class." Acting was, of course, a given but Ann wanted the input of her students in regards to what kind of plays they would like to try.

"Well I shall get around to asking the others eventually. I think I might make that the first assignment. Writing such things down for me so I can get a feel of who I'm teaching. That's what today is for actually. I can't expect to give any of you instructions if I don't know you and you don't know or trust me."

Ann laughed softly. "To be honest, dear, I haven't been a teacher overlong. Well not a Theater teacher. I have seen many plays performed and all of them were lovely thought I do prefer darker things with a splash of romance." She saw so much of her old self in this girl it was painful.

She reached and gently tipped her girl's head up a little, brushing her hair lightly from her face. "Now that's much better, dear. In this room, you're confidence personified. That's your first lesson. Be brave and bold! You're beautiful and wonderful never forget these things."

Lorna helped Ann get everything set up, smiling cheerily when they were alone--as long as they were alone, she could be freer with her smiles. The hardest part was going to be the door for students not used to her classroom--it was set up with a photography darkroom style door, a rotating drum with an opening designed to keep light out. And inside the classroom of course there were only light bulbs for illumination--the windows were covered over by an odd box-like structure that would allow stringed instruments to be hung inside of it for the sunlight's benefit on the wood, while keeping the sunlight out of the room ( ... )

She frowned a little. "Actually, that's no such a bad idea." She tapped a finger against ruby lips then tilted her head. Oh! She snapped her fingers and smiled reaching for the sash at her waist. "I have it~!"

It was a long length of black and crimson fabric that went around Ann's waist twice so that it looked a bit thicker than it really was and tied in the back. "Perhaps this will be long enough?" She held it out to Lorna before shrugging her jacket off and casting it aside.

"We can cut it if need be. It's just a bit of fabric that was left over from a project I'm working on."

Lorna took the end of it and nodded. "We should be all right with the length. Uhm...if you tie it around your waist once and I tie it through my belt loop, that should be enough? Or do you want to double it over and tie our wrists? I think it'll be more convenient at the waist..."

"That - Yes, that would work most nicely and allow us free hands. Heaven's knows we both need those and we've been shocked far more times than I'd like to recall counting." She smiled brightly at Lorna. "Genius, my dear, Genius!"

Theta does not come to class, despite her intention to attend. Instead, she sends her faithful fetch-it to bring a note to the teacher. What is a fetch-it? Theta's fetch-it is a simple clockwork creation, looking to be a body of a pocket watch. Though instead of displaying a clock face, the watch instead has two very long legs, and two very long arms. It has white gloves on over its disproportionately large hands, and almost comically large (relative to its size) shoes with spats.

It has a hard time getting in the door, but once it's in it heads straight for Ann and holds up a note at her with no explanation save the piece of paper in its hands.

"What in the world is that - thing?" She peered at it curiously and blinked at it a few times to make quite certain she wasn't imagining such things. The woman reached gently for the note still a bit perplexed by the clockwork creature. How very fantastical!

"Why thank you." She muttered cheerfully to it, giggling to herself for her foolishness. After all it was not a human or anything likened to human - not demon, vampire, nor death god; such a thing couldn't talk back to her.

It indeed couldn't talk back, but at the thanks it did bow to her. But she had the paper now, so it turned and headed out again. The paper was a simple handwritten letter.

Teacher:

It is with my deepest apologies that I must inform you I am unable to make it to class today. I am not certain of the extent of the 'pairing' problem, perhaps you have someone you are 'stuck' to as well. My 'partner' is in no condition to be dragged all over everywhere for the sake of my classes, nor do I believe he would be very happy with the suggestion. I must humbly request your forgiveness for my absence, and as soon as I am separated from him and able to come without his accompaniment, I will be here.

Most respectfully and apologetically,

Elizabeϑ Buckley

Oh why it left. What an interesting thing. Red eyes scanned over the letter and she nodded slightly with a smile. Of course, she could understand such things. She made a mental note to put back a gift basket for Miss Buckley to give to her at a later class.

He had turned up to the proper classroom just on time so it was hardly surprising that the young boy was a little late, still he raced in sliding to a halt just in time to avoid knocking over a nearby person.

He swallowed swiftly and hoping it had not been noticed walked much more calmly to the front of the classroom.

"I made it!"

The tone that almost shouted that was triumphant and devoid of the baltics usual stutters to say the least, even so he was still trembling albeit only slightly enough to be noticed if one really stared. Still, perhaps that could be passed off as excitement?

"So you did and we're quite glad you have." He was greeted by a happy smiling Ann who was holding out a basket to him. She gently touched his shoulder tilting her head just slightly. "Never you worry about being on time today. Today, I'm just glad if any of you arrive at all late or not."

Her smile fell just slightly. She'd been waiting him since he entered the door and with her hand on his shoulder like that she felt that he wasn't really all that steady - there was a slight shaking in him and that made her concerned.

It also pushed the teacher inside her aside as her doctor's training took the fore. "Are you feeling unwell, dear?" She asked gently even as she gently took his arm intent on guiding him to a chair and getting him to sit.

"Are you feeling unwell, dear?"Feeling unwell? He had been fine since sleeping off that potion of Alice's he had thought right? He tilted his head to the left marginally, a light frown creasing his face momentarily as he considered. He was fairly easy to guide and make sit though, his body automatically following the physical suggestions the leading was doing. It was never wise to disobey authority right ( ... )

Alice was not far behind Latvia, though she certainly didn't appreciate being made to all but run to keep up with him. She didn't like electrical shocks...hadn't liked them at the Asylum, didn't like getting them here. Why did he have to run?

Maybe she'd been wrong...the quick and small little boy wasn't the dormouse at all...he was easily frightened, yes, but she was starting to see that he would stand up for himself when he needed to. Or at least such were Alice's perceptions of him, accurate or no. Such a person... Such a creature wasn't the spineless little dormouse, but rather...

She'd found him again. No wonder fate had put them together in such a way, linking them together like this. Of course.

It was obvious now, wasn't it? The way he ran and left her racing to keep up...

She moved to stand beside him and put her hand on his shoulder. She had him now...she'd keep him this time...her white rabbit...

Late again...damn it, Amy thinks as she runs down the halls, her black hair whipping around behind her, pulled in the wind.
Last night had been one of those nights, she didn't sleep well and woke up late, it made her late for everything today.

Amy slows down near the do, and takes a moment to catch her breath.

Amy slips into the room, silent as a shadow as always.
her eyes roam the room, taking in the differant things before they lock onto the teacher. Amy walks over, and smiles a small smile, "Hi, miss Durless, yes?" She asks and lowers her head, a informal bow. "I'm Amy," The dark haired girl informs her.

"Oh my~ what lovely manners you have, Miss Amy!" She smiled and nodded. "You may wish to simply call me Madam. Everyone else does." She moved and picked up a basket and held it gently out to the girl. "Welcome to class, my dear."

She motioned to the basket. "Seeing as this a rather informal class, there is only one thing I ask. Inside this basket is a boot - inside that book a small questionnaire. I would like this filled out before we have our class a week from now. Since I'm asking you all so many questions if you have any for me I'll happily answer them."

Amy smiles a small shy smile at the teacher, "Well, I guess I just grew up like this, my mom was...very formal" She says with a giggled, remembering her mother. It didn't hurt as much now when she thought of her deceased mother.
As a matter of fact, Madam Durless reminded her of her mother.

Amy takes the basket, examining it."Ooh, thank you!" She says with a big smile.
"Oh, ok." Amy says and nods, peering in the basket, looking to see if she could spot the book.

"I have on actually," Amy says, "Have you ever been a teacher before?" she asks, curiously.

"That isn't anything to be ashamed of, Amy-dear." She nodded then smiled brightly. "You're most welcome." The book she was looking for was near the front in the middle you couldn't miss it.

Ann blushed and gave a little laugh. "My! To the point are we?" She rested a hand lightly on her hip. "Well to be honest, I haven't taught such a fun subject before but I did teach a little at the medical school back home. I don't think I can compare the two but this so much more suited to my personality I think."
