Thanksgiving around the world

When one is writing a fanfic that is based in Japan and some other country and you decide to have the characters celebrate Thanksgiving, do your research first. You will be surprised to find that the entire world does not celebrate Thanksgiving. It's business as usual for them that day. The United States and their commonwealths are the only ones

I totally agree! A little research into holidays celebrated in other parts of the world would make these fics so much more interesting. Of course, in the case of Yu-Gi-Oh at least, The dub can make it seem like they are in the U.S. ("Welcome to America Miss Ishstar" did NOT help!)
