in any case - this "story" the two had just told was made to be an attention-grabbing one...if you could sit through the banter. which he did, because in interest versus inconvenience, interest would always prevail should there be no major repercussions. which there weren't - only a little lost time. and the story essentially implied that whatever had happened in said story would - or already did - happen again. ]
