[The feed turns on to a large pail of water on the floor of, judging by the music, a Pokémon Center. Inside the pail is a rather terrifying fish, who doesn't seem to be all that pleased with her living space.

Grell's voice breaks the silence.]

Well it's not my fault that you decided to fall into my lap in the middle of winter. You should feel ( Read more... )

[Hey Grell, here's Miles, browsing the network. For once, he's not wearing the brown sweater he received from Merlin, but a magenta red one that he bought on his own. A fellow red fan. =u= b

He's curiously peering at the fish, and at your question.]

Back home, my father would take me to see the fireworks... I think I might not be doing anything here, though.

[You're already on Grell's good side, little boy. ♥]

Indeed, things will different here. It will be odd, breaking "tradition".

[ ♥ ]

[He shrugs.]

You said you would usually celebrate with your co-workers... what will you do here?

I am as equally unsure of what to do as you are. My co-workers are obviously not here, and my love is across Johto at the moment.

Perhaps I will attend a public party, if there is going to be one.

Back in Wutai, we used to have these AWESOME festivals. Everyone would get all dressed up in traditional garb and we had a little parade. Some people put on little skits about the coming year.

Wutai celebrated differently from the rest of the planet though. I think they mostly party, get drunk, and light off fireworks. Not that we didn't have fireworks.

That sounds delightful!

The latter sounds much more like where I come from, I must admit.

You got one too, eh? Feisty, aren't they!

[Feisty is a gross understatement. His is actively trying to murder him, from the looks of it. Good thing Kisame's fast or he would have lost a hand or worse by now. He doesn't even look like he's paying strict attention as he moves his hands out of the way just in time with each attempted bite.]

Very. [He chuckles.] Although, mine hasn't sought out my blood quite yet.

[ Quistis is peering at the beast in the pail. Looks like another she'll have to add to her wishlist. ]

What is it? It looks impressive.

She is called a Carvanha. I had not seen one before she hatched from the egg that I received on Christmas.

Though, I'd imagine a fish Pokémon would be much more useful with more water to work with.

[The Carvanha is glaring at her trainer again. She heard that!]

[ Another one to add to the growing list of 'badass Pokémon Quistis wants to collect. ]

This weather doesn't really seem conducive to training Water-types, no. Maybe once it warms up a bit, though, you can get her to show you what she can do.

My gift certainly did arrive on schedule. I appreciate it, truly.
