I have more than a few questions about Space Race sloshing around on the hard drive, but one of the answers is why did Hammond let them go? Here's a missing scene that fleshes that discussion out a bit.

Great point about naquadria! How does the SGC keep their ships going, especially after Kelowna falls to the Ori? (grrr-still annoyed at the writers about that little reference, apparently a throw-away for them.)

Why would the Hebridans want to deal with Earth? We seem to get our allies nothing but trouble!

Yeah, that is the question. I really must finish the other scenes from this sequence and post it as actual story. (I feel like making the really stupid episodes make more sense is my raison d'etre!)

Ooh, enjoyed this. I'm obviously failing at my SG1 triva - I did not know, or had completely forgotten, that naquadria powered that the Prometheus et al uses. I probably guessed that it could only be found on Kelowna.
