I suspect that Jack has mercifully blotted out Daniel's rant on the accuracy of the translation (I'm just going to assume that Daniel had an opinion on it at the time, he generally does). Also, in my fanon, Jack remembers a great deal of Ancient from the time loop but pretends not to. *g*

Very good--serving in Washington is probably killing him, but he'll do it for "the team" in the largest sense, I think. His duty trumps his personal wishes.
