Happy Lundi Gras from NYC

Happy Mardi Gras weekend all! I am in NYC for a friend's bachelorette party, rather than in New Orleans. I did Mardi Gras up BIG last year since my 30th birthday was on Big Sunday, so the plan is to maybe take a few years off to save vacation time for other things (case in point - long NYC bachelorette party weekend), but it's still a little sad

I love Gone Girl. I think it's one of the funniest books I've ever read (which I suspect is not the average reaction.)

Glad you're having fun in my city but its too damn cold.

It was stupid cold. The bachelorette party was fantastic. After that all the other guests left and I spent the rest of the weekend with the friend I was staying with eating party leftovers and mainlining Vampire Diaires while huddled around her space heater. Still an excellent weekend, but not how I usually spend time in New York. :)

Amusingly, I wasn't even thinking about Gabe. At least consciously. I'm sure my subconscious was like, COME ON, LAURA. LOOK WHO IT'S FOR. My subconscious is much smarter than my conscious sometimes.
