Hello fandom!

I have posted less than twenty times this year. /o\ I didn't actually realize I'd never really posted since my life sort of stabilized in September. Since we last spoke there have been many exciting events! There was a hurricane (obviously awful) and an election (surprisingly not awful).

I'm here! Not posting much, but I'm totally here, and really glad to hear about your job.

And isn't it nice when one can get one's mind to shut up a bit? It's like, whoa, I can THINK. And DO. I'm not quite there atm, but it's hopeful to hear about other people getting there. *nods*

The panic letting up was amazing, and I do feel like the whole experience really gave me some perspective. Most of last year was about gaining perspective actually. But soon I do need to start to develop some kind of life plan. The fact I don't have one another thing the last year brought home to me. It doesn't have to be SUPER well developed, but an outline wouldn't be a BAD thing. We'll see.

I've been gone from LJ even longer than you, so don't feel too bad. Good news about the job, that is most certainly a relief.

I was on Tumblr for a short period of time, but honestly I am too old for that shit. It's all flashing gifs and secret codes and you kids with your hair and your music and- I am clearly NOT the intended audience.

It's lovely to see familiar friends pop up on LJ now and then! It's not the busy place it used to be, but I kind of feel like at least some of us, to some extent, are keeping our old space alive, whether it's every day or month or whatever. I reckon twenty times is twenty times more than many people I (used to) know.

Having said that, I just followed your fannish tumblr. I'm niannah over there. :)

I miss fandom! I just am having a hard time keeping up with the way it's morphing this time. The Tumblr/Twitter-based thing is hard for me. Also, having no active fandom of course makes things slower. But we'll see. I hope to be around a bit more as we come up to the holidays/Yuletide.

I recommend following me on the pop culture-y one rather than the fannish one since I don't know if/when I'm going to get the fannish one off the ground. Followed you back!
