I didn't think everyone on Earth was a Cylon? The way I understand it, the Thirteenth Tribe (who were human) emigrated to Earth thousands of years ago. They were the first to create the Centaurions, who were basically enslaved. The Five (who were still human, at this point) created the Skinjobs as the next step in Cylon evolution. But once they did, the Skinjobs led the Centaurions in a rebellion and nuked Earth. But just before all the death and destruction, the Five programmed their own memories/DNA/whatever-Skinjobs-are-made-of into a ship/lab/space station circling the earth, so they could be reborn. So when all the death and destruction happened, they downloaded into new bodies. The Five have been Cylons ever since ( ... )

Hmm, I'm still confused about most of the Final Five backstory, but I believe the 13th tribe were indeed Cylons? You're correct about the fact that they (final five) built the Skinjobs for the Centurions, after the First Cylon War, in order to get them (the Centurions) to stop attacking the 12 colonies. But the Skinjobs/Centurions came back anyways and nuked the colonies.

This show makes my head hurt.

Because it MAKES NO SENSE if you think about it too hard.

That's what I thought too after Sam's story, but then I thought last week they said something about everyone being cylons - and a couple of weeks ago when they examined the Earth bodies and said that they were all cylon.

Your explanation makes more sense; I'm just very confused.

Hera in a box is awful. And poor Chief and Athena and Helo. That's a whole lot of broken people and I'm not sure they can recover from this.

and FUCK HELO DIDN'T KNOW IT WASN'T ATHENA. That moment, afterward, when Athena starts punching him in the chest after she stumbles in all bloody? OUCH OUCH OUCH.
:(( :(( :(( ATHENA BROKE MY HEART THIS EPISODE.

If Ellen's escape was really orchestrated to get Hera for Cavil, I didn't see that coming, but it makes sense with Boomer's characterization.
I so did not see that coming. Uuugh, Boomer. I was really rooting for her and the Chief and then she went and pulled THIS.

STUPID SHOW WITH ITS STUPID HEARTBREAKING PLOTS.

I know; I was totally rooting for Boomer and the Chief, but stealing Hera . . . how many episodes are left? This show is trying to kill me.

One more regular ep and a three-hour finale, I believe. And then there's the movie ('The Plan' that looks at the s3-4 events through Cavil/Boomer's pov, set to air somewhere in the summer) and 'Caprica' (the pilot/miniseries/whatever comes out in 2 months.)

I'll be very sad when the show ends, but I won't miss the weekly bloc of depressing heartbreak.

I'll be almost glad when its over.

I didn't know about "The Plan," though Boomer pov could be cool. I didn't realize that Caprica started so soon!

You know, I think the ability to tell them all apart is a Cylon thing. That's why Chief recognized Boomer, but Helo couldn't. Not that that matters one whit to the TIED UP BEATEN ATHENA IN A CLOSET WATCHING HER HUSBAND FUCK ANOTHER WOMAN WHILE HER BABY GETS DRUGGED AND PUT IN A BOX OMFG SHOW YOU WENT THERE.

Ahem.

What I do not understand though, is why Baby!Hera knew her mommy was NOT Boomer, but toddler!Athena did not.

You're right. I'm sure it is a cylon thing. I just had a very visceral OMG ATHENA moment. That I am still having. Because it is possible I am VERY VERY overprotective of Athena. More so than I knew actually because wow, they sure did go there and it was really upsetting.

And that's a good point about Hera not knowing. She really should have.

I think I was just kind of in shock? I didn't even really feel it until awhile after the episode was over because I was just kind of sitting there going . . . did that just happen?

They don't have that much time left! I just . . . I don't EVEN KNOW how they're going to end this.
