Yeah, Sam's still keeping the Mary thing quiet. (He has to have a parental-involving secret because Dean did last season. SYMMETRY!) I was just surprised he told Dean that Ruby said she could help him, since he knows how much Dean doesn't want him to try and may actually try to stop him.
Ruby/Bella was my first thought when I heard the spoilers because canon femslash FTW! But I like their dynamics with the boys too. (I think, though, that since wincest isn't really my thing, I have less objection to the idea of love interests for the boys than some do).
I'm still one episode behind on Pushing Daisies too, but Kristin Chenoweth is always win.
I would like to go on record as not objecting to Bella or Ruby in and of themselves or as love interests if that's where it ends up going. (Not that I think it would with Ruby because of the whole demon thing, but it would be fantastically fucked up if it did).
Agreed. No matter how I end up feeling about Ruby, I don't think I could get behind either of the boys sexin' her up. Whether she's good or neutral, she's still possessing someone's body and taking away their life as they were living it. And Bela? She shot Sam and stole 46 grand worth of scratchies from them. Dean can sex her up but I can't see her in a love interest capacity.
Huh. Now that you mention it, I think if Ruby turns out to be evil or ends up evil by circumstance I can get behind some sexin'. It's the 'neutral or possible good' that's throwin' me.
I mean, this show is so whimsical on the surface and there is such potential for fuckedupness underneath.
And that is why Pushing Daisies pinged me. If the fanfic writing side of fandom ever takes off, I see a booming PWP output that will tackle the no touching challenge.
Oh, absolutely. The pwp in this fandom are going to be hot. (And they won't even totally be pwp's because they will pretty much have to tackle plot issues and say something about the characterization in the process). I haven't seen much fandom stuff yet, but I haven't really been looking. The show does have an incredible amount of potential, though.
The show is only a couple of eps in, and I'm not even sure I feel fannish about it. But, I'm still thinking about how the PWP is going to be interesting.
I'd like to see if there are any grey demons in this universe. It would certainly make things a lot more interesting.
It really would. I'd like to see that too; they've already done some of that, what with the non-human-eating vampires last year, and the way that confused Dean's worldview. Doing that with demons would be really interesting.
I like Bela, but I like characters who are smart, evil and competent. I wouldn't like her as person, but as a character I'm probably going to like her a lot. You're right that she comes off as pretty bad right now, but I'm really curious about her backstory.
I'm feeling fannish about SPN to a point. I love it a lot and it was my main fandom last year, even if I wasn't as participatory as I wish I had been. Then I found bandom, which . . . where did that even come from?
You're right, this season is gonna be hurty down the road! Eeeeek. I didn't see the preview for next week, and I'm unspoiled, but I'm thinking next week will be angsty. Maybe I've just been brainwashed by the Jossverse though, where a funny episode is often followed by something bad

SPN doesn't have that many funny episodes, so that next weeks is angstastic is probably a safe bet! *g*
