*wiggles eyebrows* You know, maybe Mattie IS a bit more like France than I first thought. ;)

haha, I love how he knew Alfred was awkward like that and totally wouldn't get around to asking Arthur out until ten to fifteen minutes later (at the very least). Arthur seemed pretty happy about it, despite their being American tourists and all and obviously the awkward thimble comment. That is just too cute. I'd love to see how their date went, but I can just as well imagine it too. You've probably got way more to write for with this contest. aheh So yeah, awesome bit of USxUK fanservice with a bit of Canada on the side. Nice going and good luck with USxUK Sweethearts week. Thanks for the awesome tidbit of fanservice to brighten my day. ;)

Of course he is, there has to be some deviousness in there, being brother to Alfred and everything. Plus, he's way too familiar with Alfred flailing all over the place and not getting to the point which really irriates Matthew sometimes, especially when he's hungry.

Arthur was just being all grumpy about tourists interrupting his me time (even though that is his job and all) but was nicer than usual. I love writing awkward Alfred, it's just so much fun.

I had tons to write for the contest which is unfortunately clashing with a busy bit of my life. I might get back to this but I have loads of AUs going, so it might not happen unless I get sudden inspiration.

Thank you so much and I'm really happy that it brightened your day!

Beautiful! I love how you put in the ”I don't know if I should flirt because they might be offended” bit. It seemed much more real.
I love Matt! I like how you made him so blunt.

I don't know, I always see it (in films and TV shows so they might not be the best for reality) that straight guys are hit on by other guys and then are really horrified or shocked that they could take them to be gay. And since Arthur's gaydar is horrible, he has to rely on potentially being rejected and scaring away the customer to getting a date and chance to being in a relationship.

Matt's just fed up of Alfred faffing around like they have all the time in the world and he's hungry and wants some food. And he found it was best to be blunt.

Thanks for the comment!
