I told you people would dig it!

Sorry, it's the only Ruby icon I have...

Yay, Sam and Ruby!

But more importantly;
This is fantastic! outrageously, terrifically fantastic!

I loved it. It is officially the high point of my morning.

You didn't just dump the evil plan and have Ruby run away with Sam, you made it believable. The pressing weight of her guilt was palatable and that made it all the more potent when she finally did make her choice and stand up to Lillith.

The aftermath of it all felt real and the way she hasn't been fully forgiven and isn't totally 100% trusted really felt right and the fact that it wasn't all hearts and puppies and Sam made it work. Feels like there is certainly something there but it's also about how she feels, being as close to human as she can ever get.

It seems like there is more than enough room to have a sequel. (I for one, certainly wouldn't object.) But it also stands brilliantly on it's own.

Thank you very much for sharing it.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment - it made my morning :)

I tried to make Ruby appropriately conflicted, balancing her between her human and demon sides, and I am so glad that's coming across in the fic.

YES. THAT. RIGHT THERE. That is exactly what I was aiming for with this fic.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a great comment!

This is fucking fantastic, and I LOVE your characterization of Ruby. There could be so much more to this, and yet...it's absolutely perfect the way it is.
