You know, I haven't read any of her books since Memnoch. I just fell out of love with her writing. At least I have my signed copies, and the hat she complimented. And she does look great.

My favorite book of hers is a toss up between Body Thief and Queen of the Damned. I have finished up to Armand and it took me a while to get through Armand, so I stopped. :/

I didn't like the Body Thief at all. I have a first edition, first printing hardcover signed copy of it, and all it makes me think about when I look at is "How much money can I get for that even though I had her write "to Michelle" on it?"

LOL...that rocks that you have it.

Ebay!!! lol.

Queen of the Damned was the height of her writing, in my opinion. I did, however, adore Pandora. That one rocked. I stopped reading Armand about 1/4 into it.

Yay for new desk & being moved closer!

I'm thinking Ms. Rice is either trying to buy her way into heaven or is having a serious late-life crisis. Mike's reaction to the book was 'Hey look! Jesus is a vampire!'

Just a bit of a funny, here: dh sent me a link to check out this B-Movie Goodness called _Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter_ right after I read this entry, and all I could think of was that it would be the title to Anne Rice's new book.

That's a rather suprising bit of news. I can't say I ever knew much about her, but from the surface it looks like an total about face.

You getting a new job at the humane society? or is it volenteer work?

I don't think the tone will be the same. I think she was religiously jaded when she wrote memnoch and now she isn't. So I think it will be more God/Jesus supportive and less bitter toward 'higher powers.'
